I didn't think that gasket belonged there. Not sure it really helps or hurts anything being installed there. I did buy the $14.00 Amazon carb and so far have had very good luck with it. Not sure why his was such a reject.

@@holdemNE1 Howdy Big Mike- Your carb from Amazon prolly came with 3 gaskets. (Mine did). As indicated in the video...two of the gaskets are for one on each side of the black insulator. The 3rd gasket is intended for use between the intake manifold & the engine. (if you choose to replace that one, I didn't) Putting the 3rd gasket in the primer spit bowl may not cause any big problems but that's definitely not where it belongs. There's no need to seal anything in that area and the upper portion of the gasket would just sort of be "flapping in the wind". You sure wouldn't want it breaking apart and clogging up your carburetor. Repairs can be pretty intimidating for some people and I know I'd be pretty irritated if I were relying on a video for accurate assembly info & then found out later it had me putting parts where they don't belong. Huber's Ranch really should either edit this video or make a large note somewhere correcting this mis-information.

@@kailarsen6148 Thanks for the info on the extra gasket Kai. My machine didn't have a gasket there to begin with, but I was going to put it in anyways. Good to know what it is actually for.

I got a used carb off of ebay after i tried a Chinesium one from Amazon that leaked like frazy

Mine literally just fell off the first time I took the carb off when I got the machine, I wonder if yours is held on by some sort of sealant, like RTV or something. Have you tried gently tapping it with a hammer or trying to get a razor blade underneath the edge of the plastic and the metal? Maybe soaking the whole part in carb cleaner as that is rather aggressive? Just spitballing ideas here. You are correct about the gaskets, I falsely put mine under the primer bowl area as that is where it originally was when I got it but as other viewers have pointed out it doesn't need to be there. You have one on each side of the spacer and if you take the manifold off you have one back there between the "block" and the manifold. I had the same issue with one of my carbs that the jet didn't ant to come out with the screw and the screw just separated from it. I have no clue how to properly get it out, the way I did it was basically just put a half a can of carb cleaner through the jet to make sure it was clean. I never did get it removed. Not sure what the correct method would be. Maybe heat but don't quote me on it. But if you do figure it out let me know! I hope this helps a little, I'm also always trying to learn as I go along and improve on what I've already learned!
