How did these hold up now that it's been over a year?
@HubersRanch10 күн бұрын
Perfect for me, but I don't live on dirt or gravel roads, that might beat them up. But normal road driving and they have held up perfectly.

I just recently Dutch the mobile 1 motor oil for my 2018 traverse. They're just not that great oil for my traverse. They suffer thermal break down really quickly, and the lubricity is almost existance, which would cause premature engine wear.

@@HubersRanch I wasn't disagreeing with that reason, i was pointing out that you didn't seem concerned with theft
@HubersRanch21 күн бұрын
Kinda sounded like you did, but on the second point regarding the theft, I think most would probably go after the lock than trying to get the entire box regardless if you bolted it down with decent hardware or just self tapping screws. But yes those box locks on the majority of the boxes are not very secure more of a keeping the honest ppl honest kinda deal.
@kimberHD4520 күн бұрын
@@HubersRanch I looked up your video for advice on how to secure the new box, as the old box literally got yanked out of the truck bed on the jobsite. I didn't secure it because I wasn't confident with my own ideas. so, yeah, theft is my main concern. I hadn't even considered the possibility of a tool box becoming a projectile.

I never like vehicles with sunroof they’re just notorious for leaking and going out prematurely. I got the 2018 Traverse LT AWD version. It’s been a dream ride for me with very little issues. The one feature that I didn’t like very much is the built in navigation which I think could be better implemented. Other than doing the routine regular maintenance myself at home, it’s been great for me.

That kind of damage on something I’ve paid that kind of dollars for would have been packaged up and taken back. It would have been unacceptable.

Scratches in laminate are permanent. You either have to remove the board with a fresh piece or use a wood wax to fill it.

It's just dust in the grid unit that needs to be blown out with air? No carbon deposits or anything that builds up and needs cleaning for that piece?

What you have there is a double stack 52” made in the USA tool box. Let me explain further, for that $500.00 (In your case $450.00), a 52” double stack in Cornwell, Snap-On, Marco would run you $5,000.00-$8,000.00. If you wanted to go to harbor freight and get a box from there brand, the could they do offer, your still looking @ $1,000.00. Point of the story, you got a hell of a box for $500.00, can’t build a wood shelf with casters for $500.00 today.

No one pays list price for tool truck boxes. A smaller tool truck box can handle way more weight than bigger big box store cabs. Hf is rubbish

Videos to old to give you any criticism, but for any others reading, : dont need to run engine that long and certainly dont need to go on a test drive. Just run it for 30 seconds and let it it set for a few minutes, and check. Not bad advice on the mileage, i go no more than 4k on all my vehicles. Overall not bad. Thanks

The pole that holds that screen is engineered with a 2 degree angle that leans away from the screen to compensate for the sag. Notice how you had all your shims to the right side lag bolts, this is because you leveled it and shouldn't have. You poured your concrete footing perfect by the looks of it, so no shims were needed. By leveling it made the awning sag. Great video, hope my two cents helps a bit.
@brucecooley335323 күн бұрын
Is there an adjustment if the SAG continues or is it all about shimming?
@aarongingerich147821 күн бұрын
@@brucecooley3353 Not really. It's a solid welded pole, so shimming more is what will work the best.
@aarongingerich147821 күн бұрын
@@brucecooley3353 Sorry, forgot about how you had it setup. if you remove your shims and it's off level away from the screen then you won't need any shims, which I think is the way you shimmed it in the video. And even if it's off slightly more than 2 degrees, you should still be fine. Hope this helps.
