Huda and Mona Kattan: ON How Being Transparent & Vulnerable Built An Empire

On this episode of On Purpose, I sat down with Mona and Huda Kattan. Sisters Huda and Mona are known for their powerhouse brand: Huda Beauty, and hit reality show on Facebook Watch: Huda Boss.
The Kattan sisters reminded us that not all money is worth having. They consistently turn down multi-million dollar deals if they don’t feel it aligns with their brand. This episode is powerful for any influencer, entrepreneur, or future business leader.
We discussed the art of patience when pursuing large goals, and that every delay is a blessing. Huda shared how she was embarrassed to show herself without makeup, but did with the hopes it’d give others permission to as well.

Instead I get to know two deep, thoughtful, reflective, sensitive, intelligent and classy ladies. Believe it or not I bing watched the all the Huda boss episodes from season 1 and 2 in one weekend. I grieved for 20+ years and did not even know that I was in grief. What I learned from this 1st interview is we must MAKE PEACE WITH OUR LAST TO MOVE FORWARD not say "oh I do not remember", or give excuses. In speaking with my sister I hope we can become vulnerable enough to make peace with our last. Thanks Jay for sharing this interview . JMHDESHI

Ah now why is this vid even in recommendation 🤔 Well, these are the people that support each other for business. Mr Jay promoting Kattans b vice versa. More views, more likes, more sponsors, more money kinda tale💰 The one's speaking so loudly of self love n bing authentic. Why are they killing themselves to replicate the Kardashian clan so bad? Why they wanna be middle eastern K applesauce😺This makes no sense. Now that vulnerability is what's clicking n in turn making money. Cuz that's like hitting the soft spot of many vulnerables that the social media comparison has created. In the name of self-love, authentic, real blah blah these are just minting money n building their empire. Whilst the rest of the crowd is busy cheering, wasting time watching these wannabes n getting 5 min motivation. And then what? These will go on making more n more 💲n d rest keep scrolling more n more 😆

I appreciate Jay bringing on credible guests on his show from different walks of life, it's really refreshing! But.. to be honest I don't think there's anything inspiring about these two women. It sounds bad.. but they have clearly not embraced their 'natural' beauty and they've made money off of looking 'plastic' rather than embracing your own beauty. From a business perspective, it's inspirational. But they look like cardboard cutouts of the Kardashians. Not hating, but it would have been nice to see people who weren't fake and still adding value to the world.
