Just an added thought: That shade slippery when I applied it the other day, I applied it over top of the shimmer shadow. I will continue to play with it and see if it works better as a base, then apply over top, or mix it with the shimmer shade and apply together. When I did it over top of the shimmer, within just an hour or 2 my lid was gross, and separated. And I used a tiny tiny bit. So, if anyone has used this shade and it's lasted on you, let us know in this comment thread how you applied it and what steps you took!! Thanks everyone💋❤

Yes! 100% true that her mattes are not true to color. I can never travel with my new nude palette because there is no true neutral mattes. Everything is pink or red. Thanks for the video!

Oh man I didn't want this Palette until I saw this eyelook!!! PRETTY

When I saw the official swatches on Huda's IG, I thought that slippery shade was gorgeous. So happy I watched a few reviews before buying, it's nothing like that photoshopped swatch at all. I don't care if there is a "way to make it work". At this price point it should perform perfectly without issues. I love the New Nudes palette, although there isn't a whole lot of looks you can do with it. I only own the sapphire palette from her mini ones, and it's not good, or should I say - takes a lot of time to make it work. Viseart is still where it's at for me, every palette I have from them is bomb + I love that they are offering smaller pans, more colours and reasonable price point. Hopefully they stop pretending to be French one day🤣

When I first saw this palette i was like OMG THAT IS SO COOL! And I am really glad I watched your review, because I hate spending money on make up I wont end up using. I love cool and different, but not when it isn't usable. You hit the mark comparing the 3 nude small palettes as well. I don't own any Huda beauty eye shadow - I have been intrigued by several of the small ones she has put out, and if I ever get one, it will definitely be the small ones. I am always amazed that eye shadow palettes ARE continuing to be put out, as you're so right - it does seem everything has been done. Well, here's to 2021proving is wrong and seeing some show stoppers!!

I agree with you Tara, you can’t get too many looks out of this palette... and I think many shades are on the darker side for my pale complexion.

Even with a palette I dont love, I always love watching your tutorials. I think my technique has really improved from watching you- so thank you so much for all of the time you put in!!! Ps: if you haven't reviewed it yet, I predict you will LOVE Charlotte Tilbury's new fire rose- WOW she has been crushing it with her eye shadows this holiday season!!! I realize we all have our own particular tastes /preferences, but does Huda not see how redundant her colour stories are? I appreciate her delving into unique textures & formulas, but the colour story is, yet again , so repetitive to me & her “nudes” are always so mauve to me. I like mauve but sometimes a nude or chocolate shade should be just that, no hidden nuanced pink /purple undertone. Have you tried that ‘slippery’ gloss shade by itself ? Thanks for all the useful info!

I just got this palette. I was looking for a good everyday chocolatey- mauve palette. I’m happy with it. I haven’t owned anything from huda since her Desert palette. The slippery shade actually made my eye itch and it moved the shadow around so it’s useless as a topper. Because there’s not much payoff, I ended up popping the beads and mixed it in the pan until it got creamy. I basically just use it as a lip topper now but I’d never use it on my eyes. You can’t even use it for an editorial look because the shine isn’t there. It’s not like Danessa Myrics gloss. Otherwise it’s a decent daily fall palette for me.

I appreciate your candor and honesty with your reviews. While the looks are gorgeous, I tend to agree with your assessment. I have longed wanted to love Huda products but I’ve found nothing but disappointment. To add to that, her eye products tend to irritate my eyes. I chuck it up to the dye in her shadows. They always look so beautiful, thus very tempting but once again they tend to fall short for me. I think her products are more intrigue because they seem to be packed full of innovative colors and textures but they have been nothing short of smoke and mirrors in my experience. I’d wanted the new nudes for sooooo long and eventually ended up getting it and making it work, but I’m really excited about this one! Really great review! You brought up a valid point re: mini Nude palettes I'd say for someone who only has a small amount of her shadows (in other color variations) then yes, this would make sense to purchase. And it's true re: skintone. I think this would show up either earth tones/berry/deep burgundy on Tan, Tan/Deep, Deep & Dark complexions. The blue shade really is the standout by far. I love colors like this, but I will wait for Sephora to send the $25 bonus they send out in Mid-Nov/early December for this. I can stomach $63CAD after the $25 discount (vs 20% which doesn't give as good a deal). You look stunning as always though! Despite the hiccups with a few shades💗💗💗💗

I agree with you on the strange shade. I feel the same way about the strange names on ND Glam palette. The key difference with that palette and this one is the ND Glam palette is a superior formula in my opinion.

Oh man. Literally putting my makeup on with this palette as I listen to your review. I agree with a lot of what you said. I honestly got the palette because my one & only previous Huda purchase was Mercury Retrograde & I loved it AND I had wanted multiple of the Nude Obsessions minis but hadn't pulled the trigger. Even with both of those two things I'm only just 'eh' about it. I got it on sephora's sale & glad for that because I probably would be a bit pissed if I got it full price...

Great review! I loved all three of your eye looks, but I understand your misgivings,. I can’t believe the shade that turned so orange on you. I was on the fence but your review helped me take this out of the basket. I might revisit when it goes 40% off in a few months. I’m replacing it with one of the reformulated Dior quints which have amazing formulas and beautiful color stories! I am so sorry for your loss. Last year my uncle passed away and two weeks later my mother passed. Even though they both had major medical issues, it was still a major blow, especially so close together. Please take the time you need to grieve. I hope that you seek a grief counselor if necessary. Take care of yourself and stay safe and healthy as you ride that roller coaster of life! Be prepared for those sneaker waves-they appear at the strangest times. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

She said they were specifically made for the palette & its formulas. I don’t believe that whatever brushes we already have wouldn’t perform just as good and it’s more of a sales increase pitch.

I agree with you completely! The shimmers are very flaky, it just looks like loose pressed glitters. I love the color story here but the *only* shade quality that impressed me is the marble matte color *hard*. That’s the only color in the palette that is creamy and smooth. I plan to return mine. If you want the same color but way better quality, try the KAJA eyeshadow trios. The colors are basically identical but KAJA is way cheaper and better in quality.

I have only the Light Nude Mini and was going to buy the other two but Naughty saves me. I like the colorstory, very useble colors which works together very well. And yeaah we have seen those colors before but I can't own every single palette that came out. I like Huda formula so I choose Naughty over other products. I have only Naked Cherry with similar vibes.

Ummm. Its a decent palette. I've tried it for 5 days now. That light cream glitter beige color is gorgeous. I love this palette, but there is maybe 4 or 5 looks that one can actually do with this palette. I have never tried huda before , and I love it. But, dod it beat my Natasha Denona sunrise palette? No. Only because there needed to be more burgundy or light shimmers that didn't glare. Other than that. Its awesome. I will keep it. I tried the Huda beauty faux filter foundation, and the overachiever concealer. I love them too. Would i get more huda beauty in the future? Yesss. I want more. Lol💖💖💖💖

I was in the fence with this palette, especially because of that Slippery shade. Then, after seeing reviews and swatches I went ahead and grabbed it. The Slippery shade in my palette happened to have a lot of pigment pearls, mostly bronzy ones. I heard that they’re supposed to be “dispersed” in the gel they are suspended in. So, looking at it like a “science project” I pressed my finger in the pan to “crush” the pearls. After several minutes sure enough, the pigments began to fill the gel. It’s only when they are dispersed do you get any colored swatch. And the swatch I got was actually really pretty and interesting....like a tie dye of the rosy and bronze shades suspended in the gel. I tried it on my lid and surprisingly I got pigment AND it seemed to smooth the texture on my lid!! However, it is sticky. So I didn’t love the feel. Putting other shadows over it is like using a super wet glitter glue, but it was just too “wet” that the shadow on top moves around. I think if it would dry down a little, maybe had more of a silicone slip vs a sticky texture I might like it. They should have named the shade “Sticky” because it’s definitely not slippery!🤣😂

Tara I agree re the shadow colors too similar, hate the chunky metallics and I feel Huda wanted to get a palette out with Christmas coming up but was lazy and stuck with nearly identical colors to her other 3 smaller palettes and incorporated them into this larger one only adding the "slippery" shade (which is a waste in my book even if it works under shimmers I'd have preferred another actual color) to get us to want to buy to try and the chunky metallics. Pass for me. So sorry to hear about your Grandpa, my deepest sympathy to you and your family and sending get well wishes for your daughter. 2020 really has been the worst year. Sending love xoxox

I am so glad you mentioned that the mattes turn colors on you, because it always happens to me and it's frustrating. Half the colors end up looking pink on me too. Ok, glad it's not just me. As for slippery, I use it ALONE for a wet look - think the glass skin trend. Like a dewy, wet summer look. I like it. Just use it alone without other colors for a no makeup look.

I'm not interested in this palette at all. I wish she had bit the bullet and created something really different. However, as you said, we MUST have almost all of these shades by now, so I think it all about texture and longevity performance at this point. After using pat McGrath eyeshadow palletes nothing comes close to it. I rather spend money to get quality and unique beautiful colours .

Thank you for ur honestly, I feel the same way when I first saw the pallet, I already have her mini nudes and I feel they look the same as this one. I don't like Huda, ever since she relunched her first big pallet I feel she is shady and tend to ripe off the consumers who likes her brand. Brands in general should realize just because there are people who are brand driven, they should not tarnish their brand names by messing with quality, repackacting or poor customers services, no one should put up with that kind of behaviour with their hard earned money. That's why I don't support Pat McGrath and especially Huda

I bought this palette and I love it. But for sure I agree about the shade “slippery”. It’s just a waste of space. I wish Huda would have given us another marbled shimmer instead.
