I ended up buying all 3 laser levels from amazon, because I could not make up my mind. I didn't find a comparison video. So maybe there's someone out there in the same position. Several videos out there sound like promotional videos.
Sorry for the audio and poor video quality. It sounds like my voice is breaking up because I have a lot of people at the house. Everyone is talking and laughing so I had to record through OBS Studio with strong audio filters: compressor and expander to cut out all the background noise. At one point you hear my dog.

If you’re referring to the review where he sprayed it down with a hose that is not IP 54 that is actually IP 55. A hose will not mimic a light rainfall and I believe the review you’re referring to is addicted to tools. Anyways, I am a carpenter of 22 years I am now a project manager. I have used everything from Bocsh to DeWalt lasers I have the Huepar S04CG and I have to say it’s a very robust laser with some great features, I also have the Huepar B03CG pro which is a good light duty laser. I would honestly find it very hard to go back to the bigger brands that have half the features as the S04CG and cost twice the price. I also run S04CG off my Milwaukee, M 18 batteries with a battery adapter via the USB C port. I also keep both of my Huepar lasers in a Milwaukee pack out case.

Excellent review. I had just bought the Huepar then started seeing the Dovoh everywhere. Glad I chose what I did.

Just bought a huepar So4cg a month or so ago. I have had dewalts for several years (working great) so this was a bit of a leap of faith. So far, very happy with the laser. I ordered a couple more batteries amd a charger, because green lasers eat up batteries. I agree with you that the case is awful. I went ahead and spent the money and have a pelican knock off ordered to replace. Time will tell, but so far, pretty happy for the price point.

Nice! After using it to install 6 lights and not having to second guess or manually check if your centered. I should of bought this long ago. Makes work so much easier.

I purchased the CM701 some months ago and got a receiver/detector for it as well. I love it, especially for the price (much less than what you paid). It is within +/- 2mm at 25m. I now also have the CM701SE with receiver. The laser is identical except for some cosmetic differences. This one is a bit less accurate though, but still within the stated +/- 3mm at 10m. Interestingly, the laser beam is weaker in some directions than it is in others. Consequently, the receiver only works out to 20m to the left and right of the laser, from horizontal. From the front and rear windows, it easily works out to 50m. This applies to both lasers. It is disappointing, but I can work with it as long as I remember to orientate the laser in the direction that matters. You mentioned not trusting the Cigman if it falls. I don’t think that any of these lasers, or even more expensive ones, will react well to a sudden introduction to gravity.

Yeah, I use a nice tripod most of the time. I agree that none of them would take a drop well. Since none of them have any rubber or TPU impact layers between the glass and the aluminum covers. That another reason not to let anyone borrow your tools.

@DAN1Kpro Sadly you haven't said something about the thickness of the lines and how about look like if they are for example 7m away. How is the laser thickness? I'm sure there would be some differences. In this stae of your review it doesn't help really for a buying decision. Maybe you could add the mentioned information somehow. Thx

Yes, I know I could of done a better longer video. I feel like I rushed the video. I don’t like the video quality because I recorded through OBS studio app; hooked up to elgato 4k camlink; hooked up to Sony 4k handycam 53. I had to since I had guests sleeping over for a week. There was loud talking and laughing and I had to use filters to only hear my voice. If it was quiet I would of recorded it directly from the camera and set it to manual exposure so I can make the lasers as bright as I saw with my own eyes and maybe onto a black surface. I will see what I can do with the huepar. I am really happy with it. I will measure it and get back to you.

@@DAN1Kpro 👍 Thx mate. Wow! 7mm thickness at about 10 m is more than I expected. Ah it seems this is not a metric scale. Ok, 1/8" is about 3 mm, if I'm not wrong. It makes me courious, I will check this on my Laser (but don't ask me which brand I have. It's a no-name). Thanks again, I appriciate your efforts.

This is the thing with the thickness of the line . It’s less about the thickness and more about the distortion. You can use the top or the bottom of the line as a reference point. that being said, the thickness of the line on the Huepar model is comparable to a Dewalt and a little thicker than a Bosch at a distance of 15 feet. If you treat the laser lie the same way you would treat a 4 foot level you use the top or the bottom of your level right or left. which I would always recommend doing regardless with a laser instead of using center of the line, use right or left top or bottom, depending on the application. This removes any margin of error.

The laser brightness comparison should be tested over 8 meters away to see the difference.

For me the huepar is the best. More features like level on display. Smartphone connection for control and info. More lasers as well. More ways to recharge and use.
