I couldn't agree with you more. However, in my humble opinion, not only does Huey sound just as great as the studio version, but the live performances seem to be a little more special to me. Cheers and happy listening! :-)

Hate to sound cynical, but......I wouldn’t be surprised if this was “tinkered” with a little bit during the mixing down process. Not a slight against Huey Lewis by any means, but a LOT of bands did, and still do, “touch up” bum notes and flat vocal parts. There’s one thing I noticed with this one, listen to the crowd, they’ve piped in extra cheers at certain points.

they were great , no doubt about it , thats why im here listening, but probably the sound was fixed and mixed to correct the little imperfections that always exists playing live

Years ago I listened to a radio interview with Huey Lewis who said: "The most important thing for a singer is to make people believe what you're singing. Make them believe it." This is a perfect example where the song itself is nice, it's OK but he elevates the song with his emotion and incredible voice control. This is not an easy song to sing in which "to make people believe it," nor is it that easy technically. He is a brilliant singer and it shows quite well in this video.

*STUCK WITH YOU* We've had some fun Yes, we've had our ups and downs Been down that rocky road But here we are still around We thought about someone else But neither one took the bait We thought about breaking up Now we know it's much too late We are bound by all the rest Like the same phone number All the same friends And the same address ...... *Yes, it's true* ( yes it's true) *I am happy to be stuck with you* *Yes, it's true* (yes it's true) *I'm so happy to be stuck with you * *'Cause I can see* (I can see) *That you're happy to be stuck with me * 🎹🎵🎹🎵🎹🎵🎹🎵🎹 We've had our doubts We never took them seriously And we've had our ins and outs But that's the way it's supposed to be We thought about giving up (giving up) But we could never stay away We thought about breaking up But now we know it's much too late And it's no great mystery If we change our minds Eventually ..... It's back to you and me [Chorus] *Yes, it's true* (yes, it's true) *I am happy to be stuck with you * * Yes, it's true* (yes, it's true) *I'm so happy to be stuck with you * *'Cause I can see* (I can see) *That you're happy to be stuck with me * [Organ solo]🎹🎵🎹🎵🎹🎵🎹🎵🎹 We are bound by all the rest Like the same phone number All the same friends And the same address..... [Repeat Chorus] *Yes, it's true* (yes, it's true) *I am happy to be stuck with you * * Yes, it's true* (yes, it's true) *I'm so happy to be stuck with you * *'Cause I can see* (I can see) *That you're happy to be stuck with me * *Yes, it's true* (yes, it's true) *I am happy to be stuck with you * I'm happy to be stuck with you Happy to be stuck with you Happy to be stuck with youuuu....

Being a kid who was born in 97... I find music like this... Amazing! There’s just something about the vibe and the musicianship that makes me fall in love with it! Huey and his boys at their very BEST!!! I wonder how many people know that Huey very often sang on stage as he is doing here - just INCHES from the stage's end! He obviously always wanted to get as close as he could to all his fans.....even at his own risk!! Do fans also know that most all of his fabulous band members who started with him - stayed with him, all these years!! His most outstanding keyboard player and drummer - always keeping that fantastic sound and terrific 'beat' to all their hit numbers, year after year!! That really says something - doesn't it? And most noteworthy as well - it's no wonder that HIS fabulous music and writing was chosen above all the rest - to 'power up' the greatest sci-fi blockbuster hit film of all time - 'Back to the Future'!!! That really says something about the 'power' of his music!!! WOW!!! "THANKS so much for all you've given us, Huey"!!!

I grew up in the 90s but still remember hearing stuck with you on the radio and I do got to say the live performance sounds exactly like the performance on the actual record. Love the male harmonies on this song. The band was real tight here, maybe because they played live all through their 20's and didn't become mainstream successful until their mid to late 30's, so it worked to their advantage because by that time they were a great live band?
