Yeah I agree. There is something else going on ever since Mitchell came. Something isn't right with him. Not sure if it's just the fit with Mitchell or a head cach issue but that has to change. Also the fit with Mobley and Allen isn't working either.

People forget that Darius broke his jaw halfway through the season and lost a ton of weight. Plus he was dealing with a bunch of other bad personal stuff so I don't think garland regressed, rather it was just a down year like what most players deal with. At least, there are many factors that you could point to that could have affected him and his confidence.

People forgot what made sexton and garland look good on offense before Mitchell arrival was Ricky Rubio. They need a Ricky Rubio type of point guard/forward to make it work. Combo guard like hugging the ball doesn't fit well with garland. If they can't find a player like that, then they have to let him go. Also is Mitchell resigning big question.

The reason Garland and Mobley haven’t been productive is because they need the ball. And with Mitchell being there, there isn’t enough basketball to go around. If I were CLE and I wanted a better team next year I’m trading Mitchell so Garland and Mobley can continue to develop into stars. Then Allen wouldn’t need to be traded unless he continues to get hurt. Their roster is really good but it isn’t balanced at all

I wouldn't say the Raptors getting Barrett and Quickley out of those trades is a bad deal...lol. Yeah, the Raptors weren't good during the 2nd half of the season, but that was done with intention. Also, I'm honestly tired of you saying the Lakers have worthwhile trade pieces. Outside of Lebron and Anthony, nobody is worth dropping garland or Mitchell. Even all their role players combined aren't worth it. Allen and Mobley can hit 3's by the way. May not be at a large clip, but they have shown they are capable. I think they should just stick with what they got. I honestly think that if allen nor mitchell were injured, they could have beat Boston. It would be dumb to break it up now. Every body is still so young.

🤣😂🤣😂😂😂 he said the lakers have the most valuable package because of pic swaps. Ok let’s look at this, swaps mean teams can swap pics in that years draft. So the lakers will have Lebron, AD, and Spida. At most spida and AD which means they will be competing so their position in the draft will be low and Cleveland’s pic will be more valuable. So it doesn’t make sense to swap. So you only have 1 maybe 2 unprotected pics that still won’t be worth anything because AD and spida will still be competing. Teams don’t want Austin, Rui and DLO. So how does any of this make the lakers package the most valuable again????

God couldn't help the Lakers. They have the same exact goal every single season, try to appease LeBron James. That would be a great strategy if it was 2014 or 2015, but it's not. I completely understand what LeBron James brings to an organization, the man is a walking economy. However, if the true goal is to win another championship, some things have to change. LeBron doesn't need to make 50-60 million dollars a year. If he would take half of that, which is still a very large sum of money, it would open up all sorts of possibilities to upgrade that Lakers roster. They could afford that 3rd all-star, and still keep most of pivotal role players like Reeves, D-Lo, and Rui. Personally I think that's a nonstarter for LeBron, it's an ego thing, but when they lose again next year, it's gonna be the same story

That's funny, cuz Donovan should be the one saying that. He never wanted to be there in the first place, and he's walking the second he's allowed to. I forgot Garland was even on the team during that Celtics series. Him and Garland appeared to have a decent relationship, but who knows what goes on in the locker room. The Cavaliers need Donovan Mitchell way more than Donovan Mitchell needs the Cavaliers. This is a lesson Darius Garland has yet to learn. This isn't his team, not even close. I'm a Warriors fan, so I can't stand the Cavs, but my kid absolutely loves Mitchell, so I watch more Cavs games than I care to, to put it lightly. As much as I despise them, watching Mitchell play is amazing. To me, he seems very underrated, and I really don't understand why he's not on the Olympic team. I hope he ends up in a place he wants to be

If the Lakers were to acquire Spida then the value of those picks would drop. I get that LeBron will be gone by '27, but a prime Mitchell (30) and AD (33) could still be the core of a Playoff team, if not a contender. LA fans have seriously inflated the value of their own picks, especially when considering moves that would net them a top tier star that'll still be in their prime in '27 & '29.

Can we stop with every good player being linked/going to the lakers? With that said, donovan and garland should be split up. If Spida wants out and wants to go to NY, trade him. If he wants to stay, then they should trade garland for a more defensive minded, pass-1st pg. Like caruso. I doubt brunson and donovan would work. Mitchell and Brunson would be a disaster. Two ball dominate small gaurds in the backcourt. With that being said, if I were the Cavs I'd be petty and trade Mitchell for Hart, Hartenstien and two 1st round picks.
