Once you get a brush hog attachment to the skid steer that’s powerful enough to grind up small trees and stumps, you can easily manicure any section of the field to store trucks without digging up the ground.

Locust trees are a pain to deal with. But if you let them dry out for two years and use a splitter to make fire wood out of them. They burn hot and long!!!! I would throw two pieces of locust on the fire before going to sleep and they would still be burning in the morning.
@AlbertSA3
@AlbertSA3 Ай бұрын
Hottest wood we ever burned! It actually baked the mortar out of our fireplace bricks and turned them orange hot. You couldn't even stay in the same room when we burned a bunch of that stuff. If I remember right, it's pretty weather resistant too and what Abe Lincoln built a fence with and some of it still exists. Blooms smell amazing! But it's tough to cut because it's so hard and those thorns are a real bugger.

A channel called Lets dig 18, Chris uses a dozer with a rake attachment hooked onto the blade and it rips all small material out of the ground very easy and quick. That system might even find huge metal pieces that you sell for scrap. He works primarily in n. carolina and they have trash brush trees growing thicker than hair on a dogs back.

Great idea for your skid steer , once you buy the mulcher youll have it to use over and over again. And it should be a tax write off.

Matt over at Diesel Creek got a rotary hor for his skid steer. Seems like it tears the roots up but leaves the ground pretty smooth. Might work better for you.

Those horrible Locust Trees are native to Arkansas and Oklahoma. Somehow, one made its way to Southern California. My neighbor gave me a small one, which I planted in our back yard. You’re right, those thorns are painful. I tore it out and planted a garden instead.

Are those locus and elm trees being recycled by a tree disposal service? My friend had to remove and cut down some disease trees also on his property. The township wouldn’t him to bring in a chipper machine to get rid of the trees. There was also a bunch of overgrown bushes that were 12 ft tall and 10 ft wide. The roots systems on the trees or bushes were a pain and expensive to remove. The property still looks like a mud pit.

While straightening out and organizing the back part of yard why stag a few old pickup beds to throw scrap into so you can keep it from cutting tires when moving vehicles around, then dumping them into your dumpster. A few pounds here and there does add up when the price is right just like when I get my oil changed I add a few bucks as tip for coffee money well worth it shares the appreciation of reuse/recycling. Looking forward to next video 📹

To make all that money 💰💰 osteo trucks you don't have to do any work. Spin hours being a lumberjack, then leveling out the ground, moving those trucks around every so often just so you can mow, plus cutting them up and somebody has to haul them in originally. So so you can just forward to give them away. 😮 I think even after watching this a lot of people still will believe that last sarcastic remark. Because most people will not be able to appreciate the effort that takes, because I have not done this themselves. I really have not cleared locust trees before, at least not in any great number. My grandmother would say you are one industrious beaver 🦫. That's a very high compliment of course. But there is a little bit humor since you're dealing with the trees. Keep up all the great work. I'm glad this is working out for you.

Hello Silas how you doing buddy? Always enjoy your videos. My mother is 86 and she loves listening to you. No matter what you talk about or what you're doing it's always an excellent video we thank you. I was going to suggest the next time you come across one of those small ice cream style tri wheel scooters that you keep it and use that for cruising around inside of your junkyard. Or find something similar. Your bike has pneumatic tires and you'll pop the tires. Something else I was wondering is can you get solid core tires for that bike? You could always get another one with solid core tires and use that to cruise around you wouldn't have to worry about nails or glass or thorns or nothing. Maybe one of those old school 1970 mini bikes? Or, simply get a used I don't know what you call them they're like ATVs Then you can hook a little trailer to the back for hauling stuff on. Sky is the limit for Silas 😁 you take care of yourself be safe out there peace from Oregon

Don't you have a big bucket for your loader? Perhaps if you scrape lightly across the ground, the trees will come out easier. I am curious to see the final result. Good job!🙂👍
