Hi Mel. I agree that Dubai luxury purchases are actually more expensive even though Dubai doesn't have any sales tax. I did shop at Hermes (not the one in Dubai mall) when I went to Dubai in 2015. I bought shoes, scarfs, wallet, etc. and a 32 Kelly Etoupe Sellier at my first visit. :-)

We call the jacket on top of the dress a Abaya and the dress is called toab ! I'm not an Emirati but I am French Middle Eastern so we usually wear these twab= plural of toab or Kaftan as some call it in special occasions , weddings, special celebrations but it's not an every day dress for sure! Some middle eastern countries has special colors, patterns, even designs to represent the area/region where it come from!! I'm glad you enjoyed your time in Dubai , you should visit again, there are so many beautiful things to see. And also you should visit Abu Dhabi too😍

Love the dress from Louis Mel! so beautiful. And I really like the white dress/caftan one you picked up in Dubai. It looks amazing on you!! hope you find a place/party to wear it! I am now intrigued by the Fauré le Page. The green you picked up is fabulous. Have a wonderful weekend!

Congratulations beautiful Mel on your partnership with Faure Le Page and your meet and great. I just love how excited you are. I so wish I could be there. Melbourne is my shopping city of choice and I have missed visiting with everything that's gone on in the world but hopefully soon I will get over for some retail therapy though I have put myself on a ban of buying luxury this year so perhaps I had better wait until next year . Hi Mel, love your pink dress!😍. You look gorgeous in it👍. I was lucky to get a Hermes Constance 24 in Dubai Mall! You are so right, the customer service in Dubai by far to me is the best. The salesman in Hermes who attended to me was very nice, polite and friendly. Dubai is one of my favourite city. Thank you for sharing those eye candies!😍❤.

Mel I litreally was in dubai end Feb start of march for expo 2020. I had a look at the collections. Gucci etc. Had nothing really just their permanent/classic stuff. Which sucked.
