The Zulu warriors used to slash open a dead enemy's stomach to release his spirit. There was a also a Zulu custom called Hlomula. This was when numerous warriors would stab a dead enemy who was regarded as a worthy foe. Great diorama.

UNBELIVEABLE! Your dedication and patience is beyond imagination to pull this together. This should be put on permanent display. In "Brave Mens Blood" by Ian Knight . Col. Durnford left Islandwana, believing he would be protecting Lord Chelmsford from being cut off on his march on Ulundi. Where Chelmsford expected to find the Zulu army. But after only a few miles Durnford realized, it was the Zulu army that had found them. He then attempted to rejoin Pulleine. And as insane as it sounds, Knight states that Quartermasters actually refused to issue ammunition from wagons not assigned to men of that particular company.

It’s nice that is based on an indigenous victory, if the intention is maybe to commemorate that, but very nice battle display!

Zulu's - poc008 Cannibal 1, British soldier red with pith helmet 30172- col067 Royal Guard, British soldier blue - tlr019 Cavalry soldier with dark blue legs and pith helmet 30172.

The British took over a region of South Africa (Natal) which was under the Zulus. After the conflict they were largely left alone, some could even vote

I think you missed the point of this video, this guys say's it was a rogue operation and the Limeys were furious with the Commanders - he's very respectful of the Zulu in his commentary.
