Water/food, health bars etc are updated as well. Downloaded them today. I hate the vanilla tiny ass bars at the bottom of the screen. New players probably don’t even know they are down there because they are almost nonexistent.

Josh, with the ladders and connecting to them, it seems like you need a minimum amount of stamina now. When you try to grab a ladder without stamina, you don't attach to it. I don't think this worked like this previously. It seems like now, when running for your life, if the jump puts you below a certain amount of stamina, you don't grab the ladder.

I set up in the masoleums at first, but immediately moved to the burnt forest when I opened up Jen as a trader. Now I am set up in a creepy church near her compound.

Personally, I don't like burnt forest or the wasteland. They're so creepy with the dull sky and wind noise. I'll have to play with world gen to see how small of a percentage I can make a biome without messing up trader progression.

I'm on day 6 and I still haven't seen a single deer. 2 snakes and a bunny, and a pig that was part of a POI. That's it. That's all the live animals.

SAMEEEEEE I THOUGHT IT WAS ME. I EVEN WENT BACK AND VERIFIED FILES LIKE WHERE THE FUCK ARE ALL THE DEER??? I saw one bear when I very briefly went to the snow biome spawned near it so tiptoed in for the challenge. Saw the bear and left, went to the Burnt Forest biome with Jen and seen like maybe 3-4 boars. 1 Rabbit (forest), 2 chickens(burnt forest)… nothing else.

I agree about the scarcity of animals now. I just finished day 15 in my world and i have seen, no joke, 3 chicken, 4 rabbits and No deer. If i see walking meat i drop what im doing to kill it so i can eat. Also, drop a fallout video so you can rest your throat Josh, holy shit.

I did some testing with the ladders last night and it seems that if you hold the jump button (like I tend to do) then you don't grip the ladder properly. However, if you tap the jump button, you grab on like you are supposed to. I'll be doing more testing related to ladder jumping too (either up or down) because I noticed that wasn't working as it used to...

Josh, the way zombies find you has changed. According to the xml, they HEAR and SMELL which is altered by stealth differently. This causes them to wander towards the "Sound" to investigate. Then there is SIGHT which is affected by stealth, lighting, etc. If they see you, they target you, run, and attack. If they can't see or hear you when you duck around a corner, they will return to investigate mode and wander towards whatever distracts them. This includes stones even when agro.

Wonder if they are gonna bring back the smell debuff? Had this like alpha 12 or something. Meat in your inventory would alert zombies even if they couldn’t see you. I would honestly take that over the feral sense bullshit. At least the meat makes some kinda sense as it smells … but yeah just makes me 💭 always back and forth with the fun pimps. 😅

13:20 yeah, some of the sleepers kind of meander around POIs now. I don't know if it's an AI glitch or a deliberate thing but I've seen it about 8-10 times now in my 1.0 Solo play through. They're usually just wandering in little circles around the room, not bashing anything just meandering about.

While you're moving, if you tap the Shift key it'll toggle Sprint Mode and continue until you tap it again to disable it (or just stop running which disables it). I can't figure out the Setting either. Probably on TFP's "to do" fix-it list.

Jump seems to have a glide component. Like hitting a bump in the car going downhill,. The car will "float" more than going uphill. Running down a roof and getting airborne you feet leave the roof so you fall further. keep an eye out for "Top Storage". A red brick storage place it has a book room.

Your ladder problem: I saw an explanation on the forum for it. If you are holding the space bar you won't attach to the ladder. So I think you might still not have released the space bar by the time you reach the ladder, and that's causing you not to stick to it.

Man that knife build is doing so good for me too it is even crazy when you get that from the shadows up and can sneak attack with the knife for 6 x damage the heads just expolde. even on the bigger tough guys. My knife broke and I havnt seen or found any repair kits i am stuck with bone knife hopefully i can find some or 1 soon none for sell att eh traders just my luck. Josh you should put a few points on parkor so you dont snap them legs so easy.

20:15 I was noticing a lack of wild life in the first few days too. I've seen a few chicken and rabbits the morning of day 1 on each of the play throughs I've fired up but then almost no world spawn animals for the next 3-4 days and then a return of the bunnies and chickens around day 4-5. In the first few days I've only ever gotten meat off of a couple of night spawned deer and off of POI animals and the snakes that hang out on street corners.

Someone mentioned on the 7days board that if you put a point into the Huntsman perk it increases the number of animals you get... I have not tried this personally, just read it. YMMV...

I am on about day 4 and I've only seen a single chicken. Fortunately I have the water purifier mod for my helmet, so I wasn't completely ruined by having to resort to eating handfuls of cornmeal to survive a day until I could get into a house to loot some better food. Bonus points for getting exp from drinking from a roadside ditch.

All those points you're planning on putting into doctoring to help heal sprains and breaks. When you could just go Parkour, instead. That'd fix the problem, and you can jump higher (eventually). Plus, you mentioned wanting to take it earlier in the series.

I am on day 5 in my playthrough, and I have had to craft a tier 4 bone knife. So I would say you are pretty lucky to find all those hunting knives 😉 I have noticed you can tap Shift to toggle Sprint, and I feel like it does sometimes just sprint even when you didn't press shift Love the videos!

OMG that sprint mechanic / glitch has been messing with me too! From what I can tell, if you tap / hold "shift" without running (usually happens when switching shapes " Shift + R " or when only running for a few meters) it seems to toggle Off / On that "Sprint Lock" option that they added. REALLY hoping they fix that sooner rather than later lol P.S. Gravity definitely seems stronger in 1.0 😂...that bein said, cheers to another great episode!! 🍻

The New "Crypt" POI looks incredible, i haven't poked around it yet but i did poke my head in in passing. You skipped the cardboard box in the pantry of that kitchen with all the cooking books The Sprint lock is bugged. if you press shift you will auto run, press it again to turn it off :(

A couple of things I've noticed with 1.0, I purchases a cooking pot and a grill before I found a cooking pot. I did find a toilet hunting knife early in the game and I've come across two different Nurse Nancy's. I've also been plagued with Rekt and his sparkling personality, lol. Skill mags every time over molies. You can always fall back to melee if you need to on horde night. Mags you have to get lucky to find.

From what I've heard, before 1.0 POI designers would literally place a pot, but now they're utilizing the random block helper, so now it's just a chance that it appears instead of guaranteed.

Since you took the time to be pedantic, I'll return the favor. It depends on the TYPE of zombie. Magic/voodoo zombies do not have their own heartbeat. They are simply animated corpses. Zombies due to radiation/virus/science would have to have a heartbeat, as muscle fibers won't work without oxygen delivered to the tissues. So they breathe and also have a heartbeat. Since TFP has implicated that the zombies in 7D2D are from a nuclear radiation & science experiment gone wrong, they would fall into the latter category, and would thus have a heartbeat and would breathe.

Interesting that you have a whole bunch of bones in your inventory, but when you find one single bone in the cupboard you drop it on the ground, lol. Why Woodle? Also, with dog houses, they don't always guarantee having a dog. There is a chance, but sometimes they're just random.

noticed the lack of animals, so i got the khaine mod for increasing max animal spawns & doubled it lol, still only finding rabbits & chickens cause i put a point into the animal hunter skill to see them around u, also really hard to make money now, stuff is the same prices, but quests give no money, so its kinda annoying they restock every 3 days still since u dont get enough time to buy an item you're saving up for

I broke my leg jumping over a hedge, something might be wrong with the game. Also cutting down trees is a little messed up now (the tree fall animation)
