That knight rumor sounds an awful like the Magaera. It has a lightning gun, a superior shield that works in melee, and an auto repair ability. Plus it's a sweet model. I have one and use it just because it looks so spiffy.

Killteam is one of the best things to happen to 40K. It’s such a good delivery method for updating models between codex releases. Expanding to the skies opens up so much potential.

It would be too much to hope for new Raptors that aren't tiny for CSM if Kill Team takes to the skies. Also I hope Chaos Knights also gets a new model would love to have a proper chaos tyrant kit instead of kitbashinh loyalist ones.

In some other universe, Sorcerers on Discs (and wizard chickens, I guess, but screamers and chariots would be cooler) would be a part of an aerial Kill Team, but we live in the one where GW won't invest in us at all and I rather doubt they've considered it.

Is it "new" Scions, or scions with an upgrade sprue? Because upgrading the scions would be incredibly easy, and I can't see GW actually making new scions. That would mean that this boxset is the next one coming, the ones starting a new Kill Team season usually contain 2 completely new teams. The following sets are upgrade + new team. But who knows, you might have been black templar anciented / kill team striking scorpioned again :P

The strangest throw-back Kill Team would be a new “Celestian” variant for Sisters that had jumpbacks like the Serephim. Maybe armed with standard bolters and such? In their first book (2e) there were no Celestians, and Seraphim were listed as the “elite sisters”. So releasing a “Celestian Purgator” squad or something would bridge that gap. Especially if Sisters had a jump pack detachment. A man can dream.

Jump Pack Assault Intersessors could very likely be the "second" faction in a box set, where their existing kit just gets a kill team upgrade sprue. Typically the KT box sets feature 1 entirely new team, and 1 existing kit with an upgrade sprue. But there is a bunch of factions with jump/flying infantry that could be used for this rumoured new edition. Just a few off the top of my head: Drukhari - Scourges, Helions Votann have a lone jump pack guy in their current kill team, and long been rumoured that that's a squad they'd get with their second wave. Storm Boys and Swooping Hawks you mentioned already. Grey Knights don't have fliers, but maybe teleport funsies could be a thing. Don't imagine Death Guard will be getting any new flying infantry...

Has Games Workshop stopped doing army colour shifts? Biel-tan used to be the cover boys for the Eldar Craftworlds and now its Saim-hann (has been for years). Same for Tyranids - I still remember when Leviathan made its debut and they haven't shifted from that colour scheme for years.

I do have a lengthy question for Space Marines in general: -Have you been hearing any rumors of both the current Tactical and Devastator Squads going into Legends with Assault Marines any time soon? -If so, have you been hearing anything if all 3 of those units getting new models in Primaris form? -Regardless if it happens or not, would you want to see those 3 units return? I talked to my brother a few days ago about this, along with how Vanguard Veterans can be repackaged. We looked at Black Templars originally and noticed how the normal Crusader Squads have boltguns instead of the bolt rifles the Primaris Crusader Squads get and how both squads have different wargear in general. The main similarity being they're battleline units. With Space Wolves, supposedly, getting a refresh at the end of 10th, their Grey Hunter units will, no doubt, change, and they're the backbone of that army. Sure, there are a variety of Primaris units that help fill the role of the Tactical, Assault, and Devastator Squads, but they're spread out and not "tactically" flexible. Intercessors (excluding the jump unit) are more objective marker focused and tend to be anti-infantry both distance and up close (and it shows in their special rules). And units like the Helblasters, Desolation Squads, and Eradicators are geared towards taking on armored units (or massed infantry with the superfrag launchers). But the Tactical, Assault, and Devastator Squads may excel in certain areas better than one and other, they can do a little bit of everything. Slap some bolt rifles on them, maybe some new special weapons, and some altered rules, and they're good to go. And they can keep the iconic helmets and other visual aesthetics, with the MK X twist to them. If they can do it with Sternguard and Terminators, they can do it with the 3 most recognizable SM squads. Speaking of veterans, any word on Vanguard Veterans? Maybe an unpopular opinion, but I personally wouldn't mind them being moved into Phobos armor instead of normal power armor. One, namesake, and two, a good close combat Phobos unit, with or without jump packs, and with all, if not most, of the options it has now. Maybe more options for the Phobos Captain, like actually be good in close combat. Not saying to be better than the other variants, but it's a Captain, he needs more options. Anyway, I wouldn't be opposed to the shakeup nor if they stuck with the tried and true normal power armor.

I still feel like tempestus scions should be moved to the agents of the imperium codex and fielded as inquisitorial storm troopers. This would be very cool and give them some heavy weapon options, mole mortar, rocket launcher, maybe an onslaught Gatling cannon. They could use some love. Heck maybe a drop sentinel would be amazing

Plastic Legion Fellblade for 30k and Daemon Primarch Lorgar are my wishlist items. Would be nice if Knights got an actual CP. A return of the old Mk4/5 dreadnought would be nice. Even if it was in 30k. A big box like the Legion Astartes battle box, but based around a legion fellblade, Mk4 space marines, and a Mk4 dreadnought would be an immediate purchase. Probably two.

Not sure it's a new edition, more of another season in new environment. I suspect it will go down as well as bheta decima because only a limited number of teams will be optimised for the terrain. Which means it will get no competitive play. Plus there won't be enough terrain sets available so no one will have it!

Not surprised at Grey Knights not getting a refresh. Much like Custodes, this just isnt their edition yet. This edition is for the poster childe SM chapters, mainly the big 3, but hoping to see a little love for other 1st founding and successor chapters this edition even if its only a character refresh or an updated chapter upgrade pack. As a Salamander player, I was gifted Infernus Marines, which quitely frankly is a nice inclusion into the army. Im really hoping they at minimum update Voldus and/or Drago for the Grey Knights this edition. Its a shame the literal Doom Guy of the 40k universe has such an outdated model still.

Didn't GW previously say all loyalist terminators would get updated this edition? I want to say it came alongside the announcement of the dark angels terminators. I will be exceedingly disappointed if my grey knights don't at least get new terminators this edition. For once I am actually hoping this rumor is inaccurate. The Imp Knights model just sounds like they are using Ork tech. Upgraded baby carrier is a welcome start for Grey Knight range refresh. I just hope that this week will give us an updated codex roadmap showing the redacted codex and also the two or three fall books. I don't believe that this is a reason to think there is a "new KT" on the way, Into the Dark had a huge set of new rules dealing with fighting in the boarding action like setting of the Gallowdark, I suspect these new KT rules will be much the same concept. Fking hyped for new Vespids though, I remember when the 'current' ones were released in the early 2000s and thought they were cool then, but never bought them as I had to prioritise my purchases as they were limited by my lack of money being like 17 at the time.

Not sure if you can answer this one, but as you mention Knights, any news on if the plastic Cerastus Knights will be part of the new Codex? Lots of folks doom mongering about them being ring fenced to Horus Heresy when the Codex hits and if there's more evidence they'll be retained in 40k that would be positive news.
