Huge silverback gorilla shows gymnastic skills as he climbs a slender tree to get at a food-plant.

Despite their size and weight (about three times the weight of an average human) gorillas are superb tree-climbers. Here, Chimanuka, a silverback Grauer's Gorilla (Eastern Lowland) climbs a slender sapling then uses his weight to break it off deliberately because he had spotted an edible parasitic plant at the top. Chimanuka lives in the highland sector of Kahuzi-Biega National Park, DRC, and leads the biggest group that is visited by tourists - though tourism was suspended in March 2020 to protect the gorillas from the Covid-19 pandemic. This clip was filmed in 2015 while Gordon Buchanan and a BBC film crew were making 'The Gorilla Family and Me' for BBC2.

Exactly, and the thing is he likely weighs a lot more than 400 lbs. He is an eastern lowland gorilla, they alongside mountain gorillas get absolutely massive, a lot of them appear to be well past 500 lbs, especially when they're older. @@mcreeper1695 Well in the first movie in 1962, Kong won while Godzilla swam away. Back then Godzilla was plainly an antagonist. So it made sense that he loses. Now Godzilla as a character has grown and gotten more complex. Therefore in the new movie, he wins the fights. But without Kong, he probably wouldn’t defeat Mechagodzilla. (Since he was still very injured because of Kong) Mechagodzilla was also Ghidorah reincarnated. Therefore Kong was respected by Godzilla. He was the strongest character and most impressive character Godzilla has fought And he saved Godzilla by helping him defeat Mechagodzilla. Which are the reasons why Godzilla didn’t make Kong bow to him. (Kong bows to no one) They both won in their respective ways. It’s technically up to interpretation, but even if you do think Godzilla legally won. It’s 1-1, Kong won first movie. Godzilla (maybe, depending on your interpretation) won second movie.

@masterdebater8298 3 жыл бұрын
@@fellipedasilva99 Godzilla bows to no one too, the guy is literally called the 'king of monsters' and there is no monster that will take that away from him, and in Godzilla vs king kong, they clearly made Godzilla weaker and shorter and they removed half of his powers if they kept the same Godzilla from 'Godzilla: the king of monsters' the fight wouldn't be fair since Godzilla will probably kill or make kong bow to him in the first scene.

No they don't. Bears can only climb thick trunks with a surface that is rugged enough to allow their claws to gain purchase. Whereas a gorilla can climb anything. A vine. A rope. A skinny tree. A fence. A wall. A cliff. A bear could never climb the type of tree that this Silverback is using in this video. It looks about 3 or 4 inches thick. A gorilla could easily climb the gnarly thick sequoia type trees that these bears climb.. I've seen video of a massive Silverback walking upright across a tight rope, with agility of Spiderman. Gorilla skill levels and intelligence is way higher than bears. They're pretty much related to us. They have the same hands and thumbs that we do. We were all the same species around 10 million years ago. Bears are dumb. Paws with claws are inferior to hands when it comes to climbing
