I know exactly how it would go down. Lois Jimmy and Clark investigate Homelander, discover everything with evidence to back it up and publish a reputation ruining expose on him. Homelander tries to kill them but Superman shows up to protect them and they fight. After a few of his usual insta-kills fail to even keep Superman down for longer than a second, that's when it dawns on Homelander. This might be a fair fight. He struggles against a Superman, tries to fight dirty, taking human hostages, but Lois and Jimmy are there to get that all on camera, providing MORE evidence of who Homelander is. Eventually the fight devolves into Homelander flailing around in an angry, scared hysterical panic, until Waller's Task force X comes in to subdue him and take him under their control.

People are so weird in how they interpret things. It really is the reason for all the confusion in the world. 🤦🏻‍♂️ - Her power is not activated by sight of object, it’s activated by her sustaining her eyes open while in use. (Which is why the veins of the eye are strained.) - His nose starts bleeding as she holds him, she is not looking at him and is instead glimpsing merely past him/at the side of his head. (This is why he shoves her) (She was trying to kill him discreetly with a brain bleed and noticed she was beginning to activate her power) - She did not want to kill him immediately either, which is why she disabled his hand first. (Notice he holds her eyes closed, until she can open one eye. Her only being able to use one eye means lesser effect obviously) - He presses her head into the ground (Try opening your eyes while your head is forcibly pressed into the ground, can’t really do it) Followed by him holding his finger/her hair into her one eye (in which she can again only manage to utilize one eye, making the lesser effect) - Lastly, with both eyes open and full mental control (she implodes his entire body) showing that she has the power to easily do that, but she needs both eyes and full mental clarity. Nowhere in this scene did it show that she needed sight of object, opposed to her keeping her eyes open lol.

And not for nothing, I think you misunderstood the entire premise of the school too. Only the ones being experimented on are held against their will. After the “prison” was found out, they shut down the project and obviously released the experimental students into gen pop with no evidence to utilize. Meaning “tony” or whomever, wouldn’t even be able to tell anybody anyway. They wouldn’t believe them anyway. Think of it as like a murder or a rape case, where there’s no evidence sufficient enough to prove it happened. So following up would be futile. Which is why, now that she knows he’s going to whistleblow regardless; She kills him. She probably was already intent on killing him anyway. She was sad about it, but it was necessary.
