Waiting for the patch to do more builds because a lot is going to change again, mostly everything I want to try is bugged in some way, but stay tuned for those. In the meantime, I don't think HUGS and Shotgun Swapper will be getting any worse, and so here are the build updates for these and how they're looking post nerf.

One build I love rn is my "Turbo Beam" build. Lazer Rifle (forgot exact name) with thousand cuts Hunter with Mark. Gunslinger with bullet storm. Amulet: Zero Divide Rings: Probability Chord Braided Thorns Zanias/ White Rose/ the new Obsidian Eye if teammate with expose And finally Micro compressor and this allows me to basically infinitely fire laser beam and if the boss stands still and is short range I can do CRAZY stuff

The trouble isn't activating the ring, it's keeping bleed up for Abrasive Whetstone. Using Nightweaver's Grudge means not needing to toss grenades or use a different sidearm to apply bleed.

Devoured has confirmed to be a bug. It is supposed to be able to proc while active. It will be hotfixed

Mods are still super strong, just gotta fire guns a little bit in between damage bursts sometimes which honestly feels more like how it's supposed to play anyway. Not optimal by any means, but I was messing around with Firestorm and Flying Bomb Trap using Invoker to help refresh Reality Rune and it was ripping through bosses that the mines can hit on Nightmare.

I still use an Archon/Medic but switched to Archon/Summoner for a mod based build. Explosions proc fire, which procs mod generation, which procs more mods. It's fairly consistent and I generally prefer Alpha/Omega over helix thanks to the greater amount of control over when and where the damage is applied. Helix sometimes flies wildly around and hits things other then the intended target. Meridian or its corrupted sibling are great as well.

14:09 I just miss my 3k axe throws with ENC clearing like 3 or 4 enemies at a time. Invoker/Ritualist is hella fun, though. But, I find myself right back to where I started, running HUGS with the royal bow. And honestly, I couldn't be happier. Sucks that hunters focus is bugged, though. I love the shorter uptime, since it's the perfect length to get a perfect draw right after popping it, if you only have one charge ring on, which I usually run. I hope they buff some things to get other builds up to where HUGS bow is. I know bows are supposedly "more skillful" but I don't think it's that hard to play.

Great vid. Was the tap for the bow fixed already? It's a super fast charge for the double shot but it's not exactly a tap, still holding for a split second Edit, nevermind, didn't have atonement fold / Nightweaver grudge on. I can't even tell if this is an intended feature or not, or if it may be nerfed soon

Just mucking around in shooting range with HUGS and it seems like Plasma Cutter with Thousands Cuts mutator has potential. Using my old HUGS build from pre DLC 1 (meaning surely not optimised), getting 7k dps with all abilities up.

Drop that dps to 5.5-6k range since you were most likely using bugged hunter marks

@@jeremybolton8188 Negative was using the shroud ability. I tested again with Hunters Mark and it went up as high as 10k.

@JackAroo42Games yeah you are right I did the same with target humping loadout and it's roughly 8.5k at best through its total mod duration(chakra/gifted) , not saying 10k isn't possible as I got the number to 11k with rampage, but boss fights are usually between 45-90 seconds so is more useful to factor that in. Plasma performs slightly worse than corrupted savior in immediate dps for mobbing, does about 50% better full buffed vs elites and bosses, I'm thinking that infinite reserve amulet is match made for it

Bows really dodged the patch completely probably because the devs consider the perfect shot aspect as something deserving of reward

Old Mod Swap may be dead but the new Leaking Gem makes firing mode mods like Anguish still viable for swapper/100% uptime

Wouldn't the braided thorn ring be better then atonement after the change? Since it now gives flat 10% permanent with no condition

When you are pairing the Atonement with Nightweavers you have 100% uptime on the amulet because you, the player, also count as an entity. You could use Braided but it would mean you'd need to set up the Grudge with like a Tainted Blade Krell Axe and also be within 20m just for example.

It's probably even, honestly. My boss build is Grudge with Atonement, Braided Thorns, Archers Crest, and the crit damage boosting ring (forgot the name). Using the Royal bow, corroded rounds, and super charger, you get 100% crits with bullet storm and 97.5% with the Hunter skill, discounting focus being bugged. I get 5k dps with both skills, but usually only run 1 at a time, so that's about 4.2-4.5k, which is fine for me. But if you're running Crescent Moon, you want the extra charge reduction and mod generation, since that's going to give you the best damage overall. Honestly, the difference is likely negligible, so run what you like.

there is way better build for the bow constant 8k dps and that shotgun swapper ngl that was trash watching that, swappers arnt good anymore and not viable sorry

shotgun swapper was never that good, he just really likes using it. Personally I hate going in and swapping out my keybindings every time I want to use it. Not worth at all.
