The young minister Thomas Whitfield on the piano. I believe he was also the pianist on the album she sung this song on. Dr Hulah Gene Hurley Dunklin also sang on the new Bethel radio choir for a time.

She sang the original “Jesus Will”. It’s the arrangement you’re hearing that was very contemporary for that day. I’m almost sure that’s Thomas Whitfield on the piano.

@@ramonpchiIt was a very young Thomas Whitfield indeed. That was her Godson. He also played with Jessy Dixon for the Davis Sisters that night.

Ms. Hurley had a very unique gift. She really could have sang any genre of music with the type of voice and style she had, even opera. She chose to sing the Gospel and never turned back. Up til the day she died she still sounded and sang JUST like this here. She sung for the Lord to the end. (She passed December 2005)
