@@kazar_redbull1 Skaaland wasn't exactly awe inspiring on the mic, either. Backlund was just a boring, vanilla, bland babyface. Business dropped off considerably after Backlund won the title.

Backlund failed to sell out MSG during his first year as champion. Vince McMahon Sr kept the belt on Backlund because he was a dinosaur, who refused to admit he made a mistake. Vince McMahon Jr was vehemently opposed to his father's decision to take the belt off of Superstar. He said if he had gained control of the WWF from his father a few years earlier, he would have turned Superstar babyface and pushed him like he did Hogan. After McMahon took over the WWF he signed Hogan away from the AWA, made Hogan the WWF champion and ramped up an unprecedented national expansion. Learn the facts before you run your mouth.
