You think you know Hollywood Hulk Hogan™? Brother, you don't know squat about me.
Yeah, I'm the towering red-and-yellow warrior who revolutionized the wrestling business, the larger-than-life superhero who transformed an entire country into a horde of Hulkamaniacs™.
But it wasn't always like that. Once I was a fat kid named Terry Bollea watching legends like Dusty Rhodes and Superstar Billy Graham, never dreaming I'd be a professional wrestler myself one day.
Run with me on the streets of Tampa, where a bass guitar became my salvation. Fight alongside me in the wrestling arenas of Japan. Cruise L.A. with me and Sylvester Stallone. Find out what makes me cry like a baby, what makes my blood boil, and what scares the living hell out of me. Then tell me you know the man called Hollywood Hulk Hogan.
Join the Babe Ruth of wrestling on a no-holds-barred odyssey of his start in the barbaric wrestling arenas of the seventies through the humiliation of his involvement in federal steroid-abuse trials and the heartbreak of potentially career-ending surgery to the achievement of his greatest triumph yet.
Hollywood Hulk Hogan. It's the real deal, brother.

Around 1:23 he tells the story of turning heel in WCW. In this version he says it’s his idea and he talked Bischoff into it. Yet I’ve heard him multiple times in other interviews say Bischoff had to work hard to convince him to turn. Supposedly Eric brought up the idea while at Hogan’s house, and hulk kicked him out of his house bc of it. U never know what to believe out Hogan’s mouth. He tries to take credit for everything. Kinda like Brett

Very true! Nash even said they had Sting as the 3rd man backup plan because Hogan was so on the fence about going along with the idea. Yet now it was his idea all along lol

I loved watching Hogan as a kid. But man he can tell some tall tales. I listened to some of his audio book in my early 20's and many of his words were made into a soundboard I found and I would play with it and listen to it so much I started to act like and speak like Hulk Hogan so bad that I talked to everybody and put brother at the end of my sentences and my mother had to tell me to stop talking like that because I was calling her "brother" too. Listening to the man empowered me so much, unfortunately I made a big butt of myself and even started taking credit for stuff I didn't do. It took me days to get that out of my system. If you take what Hogan says with a grain of salt when reading this, you will be okay. I just wish that he wrote this as Terry Bollea instead of the Hulk because there is way too much of the yellow and red coming out in this bio.

You guys know that this book is ghostwritten, right? Hogan just did interviews. Ghostwriters are like journalists, they dont let the facts get in the way of a good story 😅

it's a pretty entertaining book, even though it's very much Hogan trying to make himself look like the humblest nicest guy who just lucked out to have so much success dumped in to his lap. he's not a very reliable narrator, though then again I wouldn't take any wrestler's word, be they a jobber or a world champion without a heap of salt.
