Of course Doomguy is over powered, he’s gotten to a point where Hell itself is fucking afraid of him. The games with the proper Doomguy (not the Marine from Doom 3) is basically a horror story from the perspective of the Demons. They tell apocalyptic legends about him in hell!

It's very easy to kill Doom Guy. The Covenant have horror stories and pseudo-encyclopedias on Spartans AKA the Demons but they still go after them, though they may run away at times. Several assassination attempts have been made on Spartans and only a few missions have succeeded. That's why in the span of 35+ years, not even 200 Spartans died. And the entire galaxy reveres the Master Chief, and any Spartan is a death machine waiting to be unleashed on the battlefield.

SirPerfectful It is absolutely not ‘very easy’ to kill DoomGuy. We’re talking about Hell itself here, the apparent plane of existence in which a variety of the nastiest and most brutal and destructive demons wielding all sorts of magical powers for the purposes of leaving anything and everything in anywhere they go a literal blood bath. There is just acres upon acres of blood in hell because naturally anyone that goes there dies. If they somehow get out alive, then an invasion happens and their place of work turns into a bloodbath where they and everyone around them die. If it were ‘very easy’ to kill Doomguy, the demons would not have resorted to literally getting lucky and sealing him up in a tomb. It’s just unfortunate for them that a robot managed to find him, and by another accident, manage to free him.

A Baron of Hell can take on Doom Guy. Doom Guy only has 250 HP and shield max (combined making it 500). And don't even get me started on those things that follow you and shriek to blow out your eardrums. Hate those things. He's fast, he's strong, but he's not that strong. Playing the game I died countless times. Doom Guy can't even survive Hellfire. For someone being an overlord of Hell that should be something he can brush off.
