State surplus auction time! I checked out some cars I was interested in. Most were in lousy condition and bidding just got stupid crazy on so many of the cars, considering their condition, mileage and model year. I did however come home with the cleanest, nicest and lowest mileage Crown Victoria Police Interceptor at the auction and I think I did pretty well with this buy.

So sorry to hear about your mother in law. I still think of my mom and dad on an almost daily basis, even 22 and 19 years after their passing, respectively. I know they are still with me and watching over me with the rest of my angels. As long as we remember our loved ones, they are never really gone. May God wrap his arms around you, your wife, and children and keep you all strong.

First - thanks for the shout! Much appreciated. Really sorry to hear about your loss, those things are never any fun. Hopefully that entire process went as smoothly as possible. What a great Vic! Nice find, and great job showing the pick up from the auction lot. Let me know if you plan on ditching those (3) remaining hubcaps - I've got extra center caps if you want to do some trading? I'm excited to see what you will do with the car.

Hey Alan, thanks for the comment and kind words too. Doing this auction video helped get my mind back to a new normal again. It was actually a bit of therapy, in a way. Strangely, this new Vic is already spoken for. I've got that guy in Europe that I mentioned before who wants this car. I'll ask him which he prefers, the full wheel covers or center caps, then let you know. Also I had a spare wheel cover so I now have a full set if that matters to you. -Chris

Hey brotha, thank you for the condolences and for checking out my latest auction buy on that 2011 Vic. Yeah, this is is spoken for. A gentleman in Germany has asked to buy it. My original plan was to sell the Camo Vic and replace it with this new one. I had wanted to do a new vinyl wrap on this new Vic, something with the American flag down the side or maybe across the hood, roof and trunk lid. But it seems I'll need to save that idea for another car. -Chris

Heya bud, thought I'd drop you a recommendation on music etc on GM Australia that closed down due to GM Detroit. Check out Jimmy Barnes Shutting Down our town of which really reflects our loss of GM manufacturing in Australia. Great clip and a true reflection of Australians pride in our GM factory of which your past Caprice came from.

Great job on these videos. Seeing the cara before and after auction are interesting. Neve been able to figure out the logic in how some do and don't sell. Btw, would love to see more about the Dodge Charger. I see some of them appearing in the background out the auctions. Have you thought about getting one or those? Even if you dont buy one I'd be interested in their condition and ending auction price. 👍🇺🇸

No options, no extras, no nothing! They won't even spring for the limited-slip rear diff which explains all of the Z5 Axle Codes on every one of these cars. With an open rear and no traction control, these cars are down right hazardous in the snow!

@@hullinger Thanks for elaborating on the traction problem. I hope that officers receive some kind of training on how to do winter with an open rear differential because people under forty probably didn't learn to drive that way.

Another fun auction video and sweet 2011. After watching I don't feel as guilty about buying more surplus police cars than I need. My three Crown Vics are all open diffs. Late model Police Interceptors have traction control deleted at the factory because it limits power to the rear wheels.

There's some cool Holden cars that I would love to have here but just like you, shipping across the ocean then across the continent to me here on the east coast would be outrageous. -Chris

Hi Chris! Be very careful with Hondas/Acuras that era (like 1995-2005) especially V6 (CL, RL, Odyssey, Accord ). Transmission is extremely weak and unreliable on that type of Hondas, and most likely needs repair after 100k miles. At dealer auctions, it looks like every second one has a shot transmission. You can consider it as normal only after at least 20 minutes of driving at operational temperature with few hard accelerations, few stress tests, few reverse accelerations. Without it-better to stay away, unless you want to learn how to rebuild these transmissions (and it's not easy)))

Hey man, regarding this new Vic I bought, typically I would share what I paid but I have a buyer for it and the new owner really doesn't want that price shared. I'm just gonna have to respect his wishes but I'll tell you that the reeky clean 2010 and 2011 Vic's at this auction with around 100K miles typically sell in the low to mid $3K range. This one was a little nicer than the others and with a bit less mileage and sold for about the same as the others. -Chris

Hey man, on those Vic's that were sitting at the State Police station near me, I really couldn't ID which Vic's at this auction were from that station. There were about 8 or so Vics at the auction and nothing really identified which police department or station they came from.

I hear ya about that Camaro color and I don't know how I feel about it. I like it but not love it and I don't know if I'd still like it after a year or 5 years from now. I usually stay away from trendy stuff though. I will say that I've seen a Chevy SS in this orange and thought it was the coolest look ever.
