As a 40 year old gay man, I cried like a baby when this song came on. I remembered every pain, every exclusion, every secret, every silent heartbreak. 2:52 THIS MOMENT ALONE DESERVED AN OSCAR. I laughed throughout the whole movie but broke into tears when Rajkumar put the mask on. I felt like a proud audience and it was represented so nicely how it feels to not hide the real version of yourself for once. Every single characters' acting was phenomenal too. Can't understand why this movie didn't get the amount of hype it deserved.

I remember being in tears as this song broke out, the movie talked about so many things that we were not even expecting. And, the best part is how they didn't stereotype the community. It was not right to judge the makers & the actors just after seeing the trailer. Go watch it in the cinemas if you truly want to experience the love and work that went into making this beautiful movie.

I am a straight girl but ever since I started knowing about LGBTQ+ community, i have been the only one who talks about their rights, and educate others about them in my class.(which is so normal everyone should do) but i was so glad when one of my friend praised me for talking about the things, which are unfamiliar to our surrounding(i am from a rural area). What i loved the most is when my brother and mother were watching a movie there was a Gay couple in it and when they kissed, so my brother explained it to my mother and she understood.

The amount of love and strength that words and music can hold - Hum Rang Hai is an epitome of that. It celebrates the power of love and the universality of it like very less songs in a mainstream Hindi film does. No wonder, Varun Grover has penned the lyrics, cause a piece so wholesome and beautiful as this can only be conceived from someone as sensible like him. And of course, Amit Trivedi, there are no words plentiful which can be said about his compositions. This is just another 'colorful' feather he adds to his laurel. Kudos to everyone, to Let Love Be ! :)

Let me take moment to wipe my tears before typing this comment… For a person who recently attended a Pride Parade in Bangalore, this song made me smile and cry a bit more than the others. Hum Rang hai, says it all. Listening to this song reminded me of a few words from another song:“Berang si hai badi zindagi, kuch rang toh bharu. Hai tujhe bhi izzajat, karle tu bhi mohhabat” Everyone has the right to love. ❤ I haven’t watched the movie, hoping this ain’t disappointing or misleading.🤞

This song should be played on every Pride march in India and abroad. This movie and all the songs are just masterpieces. India needs to legalize same-sex marriage and adoption right soon. Only LGBTQ people know what they go through each moment starting from their teen. I am not from India and I had to leave my country just to breathe and to remain alive. Law changes in India can bring positive changes to her neighbouring countries as well. Waiting for that day when South Asians won't have to leave their country, parents and job just for being different 🙏🏼🥺

This is what art is supposed to do...touch your heart and soul. The first glimpse of the parade gave me goosebumps. And the moment when Raj puts on that mask... It's beautiful , it's brave. I wish everyone receives the touch of love they crave for. ❤️🏳️🌈🌈 Edit: Also, I want to add as I have watched this multiple times 🤗. I loved how Raj's character is portrayed in this scene . He is aware that he is an officer and his Duty is to make the parade peaceful and no one should hurt anyone. Even after wearing that mask he didn't jump into dancing which is what most Bollywood movies does. He remains at his place and in his humble yet powerful way own his identity 😌 without forgetting his duty. That is brilliant 😌😌 Also, Raj is somehow main point in this song. He just stole the scene 🤗🤗❤️ . He is such a tremendous actor that by just sitting on the bike in a corner he displayed the most powerful emotion in the movie 😌. He didn't get up and dance to celebrate just his smile itself was enough to show how proud and peaceful he felt. Such a fantastic actor ❤️

I am crying like a baby. Being a straight person I actually struggled myself to fight my own Prejudices once when I was a teen for this community. From giving a blind eye to their problems and identity crisis now I am here the Adult me who accepts them for who they are and also don't shy away to stand for them without any fear. The whole journey of mine to accept their identities made me cry today with this song. The 15 year old me who didn't advocate in making Gay a gaali but turning my head towards other directions was a bad girl. A girl against humanity towards this small community who even have it hard to breathe staying in the closet. The 24 year old me is a PROUD ALLY who will never give a blind eye to such occurrences. While Badhaai Ho was more about appreciating about superlative performances by the actors. But Badhai Do enters that rare scenario wherein, you appreciate the amazing and brilliant performances of magnificent actors like Rajjkumar Rao, Bhumi Pednekar, Sheeba Chaddha, Chum Darang, Gulshan Deviayah. But the most important aspect I have seen are the personal stories which people have shared or have experienced. Such has been the impact of this film which is rightly headed in representing the LGBTQ community in a more dignified way. Respect to the makers. . . Its a winner all the way ❤❤❤

But it's this scene with this song that keeps giving me chills every time I see it, it brings me so much peace and makes me want to cry every time. Such a beautiful, liberating, and warm feeling to see them celebrate who they are. Celebrate all the colours of love. I remember smiling through my tears throughout this song when it came up in the movie. A one of its kind movie that handles such a sensitive and difficult topic with so much grace, delicacy, and sincerity. It never gets preachy or patronizing. Never uncomfortable for even the conservative audiences. The makers have very tastefully presented these genuinely in love couples that happen to be homosexual. One of those movies that make the whole industry proud.

I am a straight woman had never thought about all these things but when I watched the movie it brought both tears and goosebumps. They are too human beings like us. They too have the freedom to love and be loved. All love and strength to the LGBT community. And last but not least loved Gulshan's acting more than the main actors.

Having come out to my family at the age of 15, going through the discrimination at home, being scared of outed at school to present day of 9 years down the lane sincd then, with not much being changed at home but having loads of accepting friends, professors, cousins. I remember September 2018 when my school friends had texted congratulating me and a 20 y/o me calling up numerous lgbtqia+ NGOs congratulating them for the historic scraping off of Sec 377! This totally caught me off guard. It was so overwhelming, I almost cried out of joy and emotion. Keeping the movie aside, which was very bold and very true, no sugar coating, this song, the video, turly touches every LGBT person's heart.
