Somehow, everything you have ever known, felt and experienced arises from the networking of neurons.
I can't even make out an individual neuron on this slide of the human Cerebrum. Imagine, the presynaptic neuron that eventually brings to the surface the memory of your first kiss. Where did the memory recall originate. Neurotransmitters, action potentials, Broca's, Wernicke's, the reticular activating and limbic systems...so much we may never know. ❤️.
Imagine, using your neural tissue to study neural tissue. As a student, it appears to me that the density of dendritic connections in human neural tissue make it difficult to see individual neurons in the Cerebrum (neocortex). Looking closely at gaps in the tissue, ramified processes can be seen, hinting at the structure of these neurons. There must exist, easily, trillions of individual connections between neurons in our brains.
I have vision (I am not blind), hearing (I am not deaf), and a brain, and I intend on taking full advantage of this. I am thankful for how "EPIC" my life is. ❤️.
