bit.ly/1M3EWyg Human skull animation that yaws, rolls, and explodes into individual bones, which are labeled. The skull (OUVC 10503) was CT scanned at O'Bleness Memorial Hospital in Athens, Ohio. Ryan Ridgely segmented all of the bones in Amira and generated the movies in QuickTime. Jason Bourke did the labeling. @JAMES18005 The concentric ovals you note are an artifact of the CT scanning and image processing. It's not an anatomical feature or a pathology.

Right, it was our intent to have no sound...and certainly not any gratuitous, irrelevant sound that many people find annoying. We use labeling instead. The animation runs without labels until 00:56 when the labels appear, indicating the names of the separate bones.

A skull is a head bone, brain bucket, hat holder, thought ball, & bone dome. Its the penthouse & top floor of the tower of the skeleton. Its the skeleton top. Cannibals love skulls because they make excellent cooking pots & serving dishes for human brains. I don't want to be eaten by cannibals. That's such a horrible way to die. I'd rather have my guts rot away & be wasted & dissolved by bacteriums than be eaten by hungry cannibals who would remark about how tasty & delicious I am as they smack their lops & grin. I don't want my nourishing meat to be used to help them grow big & strong so they can go out & murder & devour other helpless victims.
