Hi, I’m Patrick. I’m a freelance science writer based in the San Francisco Bay Area. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training and a master’s in clinical exercise physiology. I used to work in the clinical setting as a certified athletic trainer, physical therapy aide, and a certified strength and conditioning specialist. for the genioglossus: have you ever seen that picture of albert einstein sticking his tounge out? I remember that as the genius with his tounge out, so obviously the genioglossus must perform the action of sticking out ones tounge

@@Corporis thank you, been out of massage school/practice for ages and this came at the perfect time. Also have you done any study of/heard of Dr. Janet Travells triggerpoint therapy? Its super neat. The text book is called Myofascial Pain and Dysfunction: The Trigger Point Manual in the text saline solution is used, but it can be done manually which is what I learned

Not yet! This series is going to focus on surface level memorization strategies for anatomy tests, and I'll put out a new video each week for the next six weeks, then a compilation video at the end. I'm afraid that doing a deep dive including all that information is outside the scope of this series

I remember buccinator by thinking it sounds piratey and you go arrrr as a pirate. But my classmates have been pronouncing it like buck-in-ator (UK) idk the proper pronunciation but I can write it and it works 😂
