This is a brilliant piece of software. Thank you for bringing it to our attention. I was an event photographer for 25 years until I retired in 2013 and it would have been amazingly useful to me back in the day when all retouching had to be done by hand on individual prints at huge expense. Retired now, I mostly shoot street and travel for fun so it will be of limited value. I tried the software (5 free images if you download it) on a shot of my wife and it made her look younger and even more beautiful than she does in 'real life'.....definitely one for printing and framing. Keep up the great work Omar.....yours is definitely one of the most enjoyable YT channnels and I look forward to each new upload.

Great video as usual Omar. You've sold me on this. I think this is basically going to be the future of portrait editing, and it's only a matter of time till Adobe buys this up or replicates it. I'm not a professional so I probably wouldn't get it, but I do wish there was an option to buy the software standalone versus paying per edit. I get it though, the more you edit, the more they wanna be paid, but as a customer, that's not in my interest.

Men, this software has been on the marker from 2009. I remember buying it. Has diferent name but the same action. The pro photographer says, "Is only for beginners," but 14 years later, they got better, and now everyone is looking forward!!

I don't know Omar. The AI software is fantastic, even magic, but... the opening photo is, yes, a picture of someone with some skin issues, that obviously the software developers and obviously photographers who use it would call undersirable, or worse, ugly. But it's her. The processed image is not her. Of course that suits folks who portray themselves in unreal lives on social media. I think, for example, the problems with the self image issues of teenage girls has now got worse.

I’ve been using Evoto for 7-8 months now and I love it. The only thing there’s no opacity slider for the global skin adjustments. That’s why I always use it as a layer on photoshop and I mask it and play with the opacity

This kind of software remind of of the days of Limited day time minutes on cellphones. SCUMMY and frustrating. I rather pay one time or at least monthly for unlimited. This is how software ends up getting pirate. In a positive note its really powerful and works perfect for those who need go trough 1,000's of photos.

A little harsh but true. This is not the only software i seen pop up starting to use these "credit systems" its just inspiration from videos games (Miro transactions) i hate them and hope they come up with a better system for those who like to do family, friends type of shooting without having to shed out so much money.

I wonder how the freelance photo editors are doing with all the AI software now. I remember seeing how some wedding photographers on youtube would do the comparison videos by hiring a 5 dollar editor vs a 50 dollar editor. I can't imagine if the job is their bread and butter, now what will they do?

I watch a lot of photographers and you are without a doubt my favorite, you are one of those rare passionate talented people who loves their craft. You have the kind of skill i dont (which is you can point your camera anywhere and take a great snap no matter what it is, something that i can never do).

Hey Omar... First, love your energy and videos. I have a question for you as a Nikon shooter. It seems like all new camera, not just Nikon, are making big strides when it comes to video and really the only improvements to still photography is in the area of focus, shutter speeds and maybe low light performance. That being said, I want to update to a Z mirrorless camera, but really don't have an interest in video capabilities. I can't print or hang videos on my walls. Anyway, I guess I'm looking for a suggestion as a Nikon shooter, which model you feel leans more into still photography and less into video. I think I may know the answer, but not thrilled by it. I am assuming that if I'm going to want the improvements in focusing, low light performance, etc... I'm going to have to accept that higher costs of upgrading because of all the changes in video improvements. I'm holding out for the final details on the Z6iii, as I have concerns that those improvements I'm looking for in stills is not going to trickle down to a Z6ii or ZF... Long winded I know and apologies, but look forward to any input you can add. Cheers

Are you having low-light & focus issues personally, or just think it would be nice to have the latest? I used my D800 for 12 years, because the thing holding my photos back the most was me, not the camera. (and still is the case, but my D800 is literally falling apart) I mostly manual focus due to mostly manual lenses. In low-light, I'm faster manually focusing than the Z8's auto-focus which does some hunting. The in-body stabilization really does give me an extra 4-5 stops usable shutter speed, which is pretty nice in low light. But I did fine without it, and at really low speeds, even if the camera is stable, the subject might not be.

Hi Omar... I don't use Luminar but doesn't it have some very similar features? How do the two compare? Great video and very interesting. Thank you. Gareth
@TomWarrenPhotography
@TomWarrenPhotography 2 ай бұрын
i have both. Luminar can open eyes while this can't. Evoto is better for extra eye options. Luminar can't fix stray hairs. Evoto can. Evoto can match face and body color (makeup shifts colors) which works well. I pick about 15 images from a shoot to edit in Evoto and it costs about $1 for all. Totally worth it vs paying a monthly fee.

I don't do a lot of portrait photography (mostly street and cityscapes), so it's not much use to me. However, as I pay for a (cheap, $8 per month) bundled subscription for Ps/Lr/LrC, I'd do any portrait retouches using my Adobe apps. I guess Adobe will include some sort of AI retouching in the not too distant future, as they already offer some AI functions.

I guess it's a nice tool for a professional. When you sell pictures, paying a few cents per touched up picture is not that expensive and it saves you so much time. I wish they had smaller credits packages, like 200 credits. I might want to touch up some family pictures every now and then, but I don't need 1200 credits.

I like the old style retouch that mostly done with maku up and photographer take the the best shot. To day retouch is too much. It does not fell original anymore. Portrait human like they are naturally is he best way to see a picture. Specially for Archive that we or our generation would like to know us in the future. To day keep picture straight from camera is my favourite. Everything in your face is some thing unique about you. Do not delete it or delete it. That the way your friend, your family and your kids know you. Thats how nature run

The software is usable ant not bad. However, their pricing model suggest that they are not hopeful about their future or steady growth and they wnat to grab as much cash as possibel as quickly before going out of business.

I dunno about that. Wouldn't they want to sell full-price upfront then? Get even more money ASAP. I think it's a clever way to get the barrier to entry very low. Topaz products I've tried but not bought because I wasn't impressed enough to justify their price tag. (meanwhile I've lost so much time on stray hairs, that while this isn't perfect, I'd be willing to pay a Topaz-likenprice)

Could you please put the name of the software somewhere in the description so I can find it more easily than scanning through the video to find it? I can't tell what you're saying. Evoto? Does it denoise like Topaz too? Any ability like in LR? As in-do you still use LR? Or simply for cleaning up skin?
