What’s up everyone. Here’s every frame from a roll I shot last week on and near my ranch in Colorado. I’m so grateful for the two girls who were amazing enough to walk out of work and shoot these photos with me. These are the stories I love most. I do this for the relationships more than anything.

Hey. Sorry about the late reply. My son is ridiculous. He’s turning 17 next week and he’s 6’5”, 250 pounds. It’s as close to living with a zoo animal as you can get. Sweet kid though. I’d be dead a long time ago if he wasn’t.

Always love coming across content on the SP. It’s my workhorse camera. Well done, cheers from Shanghai!

I only got it as a smaller travel option. I had no idea it was going to be as great of a camera as it is.

did you use a portable lightmeter? :)

I’ve never taken a photo in my life without first using a light meter. I think there’s a decent argument for not needing one for shooting inanimate objects, but people have a small window of peak energy and self esteem. If you can nail your exposure on the first frame rather than making someone endure click after click while you press buttons and turn dials, you get a lot more out of your subject.

Creepy? Maybe Still like to know WHy he was on the beach at an Overexpose background or might of being an Hologram or Holodeck Backdrop. Then switch to a Ranch.... Again Creepy..

Hey brother. I had to re-watch the video to find where your confusion might be. There are no photos on the beach, so I can only imagine that you are wondering why the beginning of the video is at the beach. Well, I said that I’m home after spending a week at my ranch in Colorado. I live at the beach. The photos are from a trip I took to my ranch. As far as the overexposed background, the photos are backlit. Without a flash, it’s impossible to expose the subject’s face and the sky at the same time. I think I talk about this in another video about how important it is to find a darker background for backlit photos and how dramatically it changes the outcome. I hope this clears everything up for you. I’m happy to answer any questions you have.

@@JoeLyman I Disagree, You can use flash Backlit in using Synchro Flash - As that was Photo Lesson #5 at City College Photo Department back in 1975, Yea I been doing photography in let see-since 1972, and was using that technique since I was in Grad School in using it in my Fashion Class, as then I was using a Nikon F, and Bronica cameras. Today I use also a Rangefinder, a Canon 7, and Contax II. I have also DSLR, and Mirrorless models using Vintage Nikkor Lenses - Manual Focus 50 year old Nikkors... It's not the Gear that makes you a pro, is How you use it....
