I like how players and commentators get to know each other over the years so the interviews get more informal and sometimes more personal.

False friends: "educato" in Italian means polite :) (mentre in inglese "educated" vuol dire còlto, che ha studiato).

I’ve been following Jannik for the last 5 years and you could just tell he would win a Grand Slam one day. So happy for his success, and I sure do love to watch him play.

I can only imagine the fabulous South Tyrolean dishes his father is cooking up for him!

Don’t think so with that heat sure will be pasta chicken fish and green vegs South Tyrol ( my girlfriend owns a house there so we go often) is canederli ,stews, polenta , spetzle , Not ideal for summer and athlete

@@luislizard2626 yeah just kidding all i meant is South Tyrolean chefs have great cooking skills i've never eaten a bad meal there. For sure he will find the right diet for Jannik. Nights are cold in the desert though, so i guess he'll have something hearty in the evenings.

mmm I am sure Jannik's dad is a great chef...I am just not so sure Tyrolean dishes and fabulous fit necessarily in the same sentence...
@al1976-v7m5 ай бұрын
@@asiantapas well it is a far cry from Asian tapas like Sushi ;) but it is still beloved worldwide. The Tyroleans were a tough, hard-working people so their cuisine is quite hearty

Another thing about Jannik is that you can see how much his team loves him. Darren Cahill just adores him, you can get this how they all talk about him, even looking at him. So what he says about team is not just words, but the reality. People who expects more "entertainment" (which apparently screaming at spectators, yelling at referees, breaking rackets, throwing tantrums are considered "interesting") can go and follow someone else. What Jannik delivers is top tier, competitive tennis, respectful personality on and off court and just minding his own business. If you look for an asshole or a clown, he is never will be that. Go and look for someone else instead of complaining about him. What he puts on court is very interesting for me and that is enough. For years Nadal and Federer were the role model champions for good manners, in this generation, I expect Carlos and he will replace those roles.

I’ve been following this guy since he burst on the scenes and I immediately fell love with his personality, his mind and his hunger. I’m just someone who focused on these important factors, then the actual tennis. Not long after I told my son he’s grand slams material and he will begin winning soon. This was the time when few had their radar on him, but I saw something. His humility, strong mind, the ability to stay calm and speak kindly of his opponents is a breath of fresh air. If he stays this way, then for me he’s the epitome of what qualities a role model should possess. I wish him all the best and I know he will keep bringing in the goods!

The longer I live the more convinced I am the manifestation of deep souls energy is their 'art'..for Jannik..it is his tennis..but he brings sooo much more..what a deep soul..how fortunate for tennis and we the fans!

Yannik already has the calmness of Nadal, the elegance of Federer, and the perseverance of Djokovic. He has been developing Federer's touch, Djokovic's consistency and Nadal's speed over the years.

This guy has a lot of awareness and humility for a young man and world class tennis player. Borrowing anything unforeseen he will continue to learn, grow and refine. He knows what it takes to succeed and he is of course committed. Such a wonderful young man and what the sport of tennis can always be proud to have as a great ambassador for the game and life.

Great interview guys, you showed that besides tennis you know other sports (Alberto Tomba has been a huge sky champion, but some 30 years ago...). Just a note: Sinner has of course been interviewed by Italian channels, and he invited the supporters to follow also the other Italians competing in IW. Great guy. Thanks Jannik for the Davis Cup, good luck for the Olimpic Games, there you will find many other champions, also in sports not bearing fame, success (and money) like tennis. Proud of you!

"If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster And treat those two impostors just the same; Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it, And-which is more-you’ll be a Man, my son!"

As an Italian and huge Sinner fan, I totally agree: Daniil is a natural entertainer and when he retires he'll be the greatest of commentators. What strikes about Jannik is instead how mature and down-to-earth he is for his age. Never a behaviour or a word out of place for him. So you may not be a fan, but I can't see how one can ever possibly be against him
