I am not sure. While this response is most welcome, our rejoicing actions should not be reactions to ridiculous fabrications, but our own exiting calendar, our schedules and further creation. Why include/incorporate this nonsense in our own agenda, even if as critique against it?

@@Emerald_City_i don't think he plans to see it incorporated into the Church calendar since no month has any name in the calendar. But it helps us function in our lives and world to give it this title.. or emphasis. Although every month should be humility month in our lives.

I think it's more because Pagans historically had a history and a culture around their religions. Neo pagans are little more than live action role players. They don't live in pagan communities, they don't have pagan families, they have no history with paganism for the past 1000 years or longer. Unless they move to India and become Hindus, they're very much lone wolves in a jungle.

INDEED! The 'New Paganism' of Trump idolatry is much more ANTI-CHRISTIAN than the idolatry of Roman emperors, because so many Christians delight in the orgy of Trump worship. Here is Biblical evidence of God's DIS-approval: Proverbs 11.27 The Bible in Basic English He who, with all his heart, goes after what is good is searching for grace; but he who is looking for trouble will get it. Trump is ALWAYS looking to SERVE his money lusts and power lusts - like the worst leaders throughout human history,including Biblical history - and so, as God promises, TROUBLE is always coming to him and to us as a country. God is wonderful! The truth of God's Word is wonderful! Thanks to God for revealing to us - from the ancient text of the Hebrew Bible - that Trump devotion is a vainglorious, evil-making IDOL.

Right there with you brother ! He gives me messages that are so opposed to much of what I’ve been taught growing up. I do not blame Protestantism. More so a viewpoint on faith that is misguided and misinformed. This happens in all denominations. Thank goodness for Christ and the personal access we have to him

@@tylerfast106 tyler, please don't be upset with me, but protestantism is the problem.. And i do not in any way denigrate any of the love for God and Jesus and the Holy Spirit that exists there. I used to be one.. As are many of those who comment on such sites as this.. There is a reason why Orthodox priests such as Fr. Spyridon can say what they say.. These words come from knowledge of the mind of the Church, the Holy Scriptures and the teachings of the Church Fathers and Saints.. It is a different mind... And i am so very glad you can recognize value in what you are hearing.. I hope you stay tuned..😏😏 I might as well say here that the Church does not see Herself as a denomination, but as the Mother Church from which those who have errored have disgressed.. I know those could be 'fightin' ' words, but i don't mean them that way.. She says that She is the true, unchanged Church ,for a reason.. It sounds terribly arrogant..but it truly isn't.. Is just one of the things that we converts were presented with and had to learn about and see why there were strong reasons to accept it.. Well, enough from me. I don't want to squelch your joy of hearing such wonderful words from Fr. Spyridon.

Yes, it used to be a month to rejoice in weddings. May it still be so.. We don't have to use their terms.. May they find love and a way out through the prayers of the Church.. May they 'graduate' to a life which holds the LOVE they actually hunger for.. and have all their lives..no matter their story or raging hubris. ☦💝📿💝☦ (I think of weddings because i was married in June. 🔔🔔🔔. But it was close to the anniversary and i just wanted to put some weight toward the side of marriage.. As i reread some comments, i find myself being wary lest we react is such a way that it only causes for publicity for that terrible situation or causes unnecessary reaction towards the Lord and His Church .

Father June is also PTSD month when we who served and sustained violence, trauma and killing fellow humans are to be honored and helped. Unbelievably the US Navy SEAL community has had the Pride month albatross hung on its neck…as a Veteran of a Foreign War (Nam) I find it loathsome! Our Republic is spiraling out of control with the arrogance now so popular in America.

The beauty of God is infinitely deep. The scriptures are written and we struggle to pierce even a little of their depth. Only a man who does not see God would focus on the world this much and how shallow it is. It is falling away, the more we invest and pay attention to it, the more we fall away with it. Yes, emma, and the Church calls such sinners as she and St. Mary of Egypt, and all those to whom St. Paul wrote to about what they once had been, (and still writes to us and all today) with such deep, unfathomable and embracing love to help them and all of us in our own problems to heal in its hospital.. Those sins do bring misery. and especially to those who know they are miserable and don't know where to turn. This month should prompt many prayers and tears... ☦💝📿💝☦

I agree with every single word said and every Christian should. I especially loved that you mentioned there are many in Central and Eastern Europe who strongly resist the agenda. It is getting harder every year, they are trying to push it harder and though nobody accepts it, some of my younger peers don’t stand strongly enough against it, but have more of a lukewarm approach.

We Catholics this month celebrate the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus. And the entire month is dedicated to it. More humble than Christ's heart, no other heart can be. Greetings to all Orthodox brothers and sisters in humility.

Years ago I took eight sixteen-year-olds out of class and listened to Larry Parish refute the five specious arguments against the legalization of porn. I then took them to Colo. St. U where I preached on the free speech wall about the evils of porn and the abuse of women. When the wise guys started heckling me, my magnificent eight went to work. They not only refuted well , but were energized by knowing that their very limited training quelled the attacks of wise guys 3-5 years older than them. That is action. That is being zealous for good deeds.

I drove my a church yesterday with that flag out front and thought that is an abomination. There is a Catholic church in the town my wife works in that used to ring bells until about 5 years ago at noon each day, now they fly that flag and never ring the bells.

That's not a church. there is One Holy Catholic Apastolic Church. There are many apostate and heretical places that call themselves a church that put these flags on their buildings. Lord have mercy.

Thank you Jesus Christ for showing us the truth. The world can laugh and mock but you are the true son of God, you are in the Father and all the power and glory is yours. We true christians know that Satan has no hold or power over you, only the Earth. It’s sad that people will go against the Father when he has the power to wipe out life on Earth yet chooses to forgive us repeatedly out of his love, the world really is in end times and I pray that we get to be with our lord and saviour Christ whom my heart longs to be with ❤🙏🏽

One thing I have struggled within our Orthodox community as we think about how we relate to people who struggle with this passion, is how we as Orthodox Christians mock gay, people through unchristian jokes forgetting that they still are the image of God. How do we as Orthodox Christians react to members of our communities when they do this?

I am reminded of the old story of the guy who received a medal for his humility and had it taken away when he wore it.. Yes, covering ourselves in our own variation of our 'humility' flag might not work out well. ☦💝📿💝☦
