Another fun mid week motorcycle ride through Arizona single track. I end up clipping a Saguaro with my bar end at around minute 21, maybe that's why the old owner of my Beta300rr had cut down bars on it? I replaced the cut down bars with some Tusk Chub bars in the CR high bend. The Saguaro won, those things are as stout as a tree so it pushed me out into the loose rock, the front knifed and down I went. I had my first Tubliss issue as well, I'm almost certain it was a rock, some of them are like razor blades, I ended up with a 1/4 gash that tapers to about 1/8 on the inside of the tire right off the centerline of the front tire. The good thing is the Flatout Sealant I had did stop the air loss but the tire would only hold about 4psi, riding 4psi is squirm city on hard pack but I was able to finish the second half of the ride. I may try the bib mousse set up in the Beta200 and run both set ups for 6 months or so to see what system I like best. Arizona trails are brutal on motorcycle tires. The front tire I'm trying is a knockoff of the Goldentyre 216 fatty, it's an Artrax XC Enduro 90/100-21, that may be why a rock penetrated it, time and miles will tell because I'm going to run 3 of them to get a good feel for the tire. Some of the mid week crew are heading back home soon, they don't want to stick around for our Arizona summers, they will be missed but I'm sure we will see them before the snow starts falling at home.
