The tree guy I used a while back was a philosopher. His philosophy was " Whittle away, just whittle away." It'll get done. You too it seems. Being alive. I swear this was one of the most interesting and exciting tree vids you've made. And I've been watching you a long time. Brilliant!

Purchased gear in the fall and slowly teaching myself how to climb. Wouldn't be possible without channels like this. These are some of the best videos for inspiring confidence in a rookie climber. Easy to have a moment or two of feeling overwhelmed at heights. Looking forward to the upcoming work season. Should also be looking stylish in my Monkey Beaver suspenders!

"Not just regular wrecked, dynamically wrecked". I always enjoy the challenge of jobs like that. And I could not agree more, this type of work forces me to think beyond my "normal" techniques and abilities to successfully, slowly and safely as possible spring the mousetrap. Being able to see what is happening, what is going to happen and what could happen and putting myself in a position that no matter what does happen I am still out of the "danger zone". Ayuh, very nicely done August. I appreciate you sharing some of your "fun" with us. Keep yourself safe! 😃👍❤️🌲 Randy

Great video August, I enjoy everything that you put out but REALLY enjoy these problem solving vids! I took down a large Cherry tree that was hung up in a decent sized white pine a couple years ago for a really good friend of mine. Luckily it hung up in the pine cuz it was heading straight to the house. Anyway, you had a video out that was similar to this that you discussed all the different triggers and thought that went into removing it safely. After watching that vid i was able to tackle that tree with more confidence and took it down safely with no more damage to anything than what the tree had already done. Thanks again for everything you do and share, it's always appreciated! Have a Happy New Year Monkey Beaver Crew!!!

Another great job! Thanks once again. Had a crazy one at about 110’ red pine crashed onto a maple that also broke and the top was tangled in beyond that even higher. It was all over a 3 season glass porch. Trunk was HEAVY at 34-36” and a good 60-70 ft perfectly straight. Lake side w no crane access. Took two days to untangle it. Was some very scary pressure points and hard to tell what was holding up what. Used monkey beaver speed line kit to remove all the loose stuff. Thanks for taking is along!

Well done man!!...I do a lot of this same applications here in St.Louis, Mo...the only thing I can't relate to is: landscapers have a lot of reasons to call me for this and that...but, when they get my bid they want to go right back to blowing leaves and yard clean ups...I happen to like my job...when they see how much patience I have with trees they still want to just fire up the blowers and weed eater and make a lot of noise!.…it's all good...they know who to call when the homeowner let their trees go too long without maintenance... again, well done!!...

That feeling of "small cuts and listen".... a constant testing of and verifying your understanding of the structure of both trees and the dynamic pressures they are putting against each other. A real life puzzle testing your understanding of the situation. I both love and hate these jobs. I love the test, I hate the elevated risk. However, that being said, I will do what i feel I safely can, then at that point identify whats left, and options for handling it without any getting hurt and minimizing AVOIDABLE property damage. Sometimes, you are at the point where you've done the best you can, and its time to honestly assess whether you are the best person to be finishing the work, and consulting the customer with options for next steps. Given, the "am I the best person for this work" can be an ongoing analysis. While I hate starting a tree and being wrong about my ability to complete the job safely, I far rather leave the job if I am unable to safely finish it. Its a hard pill to swallow, but better that everyone goes home safe and someone with greater capability than myself finishes it than taking a chance of someone being seriously injured. The most important, and hardest part about tree work is knowing and respecting your limits. Great video August. Thank you for sharing your passion and time with us. Keep staying safe :)

Great fun trying to anticipate your next move.....did not get it right as often as I hoped. Low risk sitting on the couch here watching KZfaq as opposed to being in the tree strapped to a catapult....kinda like the comparison of playing a war video game vs being in a real war. Both my father and my father in law were WW2 vets. People who have not had the opportunity to speak directly with a WW2 vet won't understand the experience, there was no KZfaq then. Your videos bring us closer to understanding what you experience and the risks. Thanks for being careful and smart.
