Hungarian Folk Tales

Күн бұрын

The Hungarian Folk Tales stem from original folktale collections, every episode has its special authentic ornamentation. The trio of folk art, folk music and folk tales are masterfully combined in the episodes.

/ @hungarianfolktales
The frog, the sausage and the mouse decided to be friends, to live together and to share the work to do. So they take turns at doing the housework. The sausage can cook best because he cooks himself into the soup. When the frog wants to imitate it, he scalds himself and since that time the toad exists. But their friendship broke up.
Made by the Kecskemét Film Studio.
Directed by: Mária Horváth, Sándor Vágó
Storyteller: Gyula Szabó
Music: Kaláka band
The makers used the decorative art of a certain countryside region at each episode. The trio of folk art, folk music and folk tales are masterfully combined in the episodes, which have unique imagery, sometimes spicy folk humor in the dialogues. Thanks to the natural presentation of the storytellers, and the music of the Kaláka band, the viewer can experience something unique and special.

You know, after all that, they didn't have to stop being friends. They could have just kept trying to help each other improve their cooking until they got it right.

Well if one was a surgeon and the other a pilot and then they switched professions i dont think they can be friends after that...but i guess the author want to say that cooking can be hard and needs talent which is wrong ofc.... maybe its a way of sharing the Hungarian soup recipe and sausage makes it even better .

This one is ATU 85 (Mouse, BIrd, and Sausage), but most versions end with at least one of them dying horribly. In the one collected by the Brothers Grimm, the mouse cooks herself in the pan, the bird drowns themselves in the well, and the sausage gets eaten by a dog.

But he looks so happy. In the original story. The animal that cooks stopped because they thought the other tasks that the other two friends were doing were easier when all the tasks were pretty much equal.

There's familiar history of this : the sausage, the mouse and the bird. When the bird tired of his work and thinking his friends have most "easier" taks, then decided to switch: the story ends with the sausage being eaten and the mouse drowing and dying in a soup

Very few people know that the Hungarian folk tale is not just a fairy tale. They have a very serious philosophical content. Behind the content is the zodiac chronology. In Hungarian: "Napút" (maybe Sun trip(?) in English). Every action and animal has a meaning. There is literature on this, books and lectures have been published on the subject.

The version I know ends very badly. The sausage made meals by climbing into the pot and making himself into soup, so when it came time to switch jobs, the sausage got eaten when out getting firewood, the mouse burned to a cinder when he climbed into the pot, and the frog was actually a bird and dies somehow as well, I forget the details.

Cured meat can be stored for upwards of 3 months. Sausages in eastern europe are typically boiled, cold smoked and sometimes dried, so they can't spoil that quickly.
