A boy after finishing his military service trains his goats with great success.

Music: Kaláka band
The makers used the decorative art of a certain countryside region at each episode. The trio of folk art, folk music and folk tales are masterfully combined in the episodes, which have unique imagery, sometimes spicy folk humor in the dialogues. Thanks to the natural presentation of the storytellers, and the music of the Kaláka band, the viewer can experience something unique and special.

It says he lived happily ever after, but considering this story appears to take place in Hungary around the turn of the 20th century ... he probably didn't.

Idk, it looks like it could be any time in the 19th century. If it's the 1850's he should be fine.

There doesn't appear to be a train in sight (placing the story before the 1840s when the first lines were built there) and generally a folk tale is hundreds of years old anyway.

Well, he was not Jewish. So when the Hungarians sold out their Jewish neighbors to the invading Germans, he took over their property as well, and did very well for himself. Sadly, the Jewish citizens of Hungary did not fare as well. We can thank the Hungarians and Poles for that. Both countries decimated their Jewish populations. Shameful act in history. By contrast, the Bulgarians, Swedes, Danes did all they could to protect their Jewish citizens. I found this out, by reading up on WWII history when my kids were young and involved in the Anne Frank projects at school.

They said the man had nothing, but the dog was with him from childhood. I'd say that was something. Though, Idk if he legally owned the dog or if it just liked him.

selective breeding causing this to a point they can't walk well and are prone to infections. I'm more worried were all their babies are as thats the only reason they lactate in the first place after birthing

Aziza Alkan, the episodes are drawn in styles from different parts of Hungary. This one must be from an area with a more informal style.
