In this episode of Hawaii 100 Highest Peaks we are climbing Pu'u ohulehule one of my favorite mountain peaks in Oahu, which in my opinion has one of the best views on the island.
Pu'u ohulehule peak is #90 in the list with a height of 2265ft. The approach to this beautiful mountain goes through the wild Kahana Valley which still feels untouched by human hands. Despite that the state has a nice hiking trail here, not a lot of people comes to trek around this area. Mostly used by local hunters.
This trail a good example of true Hawaii hiking while ascending one of the Hawaii 100 highest peaks.
Enjoy the video and Mahalo for watching!
Please don't use this video as a guide for you future hiking activities. This hiking route it's unsafe and very dangerous, mistakes made up here can have consequences such as serious injury or death. Make sure you know your own limitations and be a safe out there!

In this new series of videos I am embarking on a journey to climb Hawaii’s 100 highest peaks.
My list is based on LOJ (listsofjohn.com) which in my opinion is one of the best websites to enlist all the peaks in the USA.
Here is the link to the list of th1 100 highest mountain peaks in Hawaii:
listsofjohn.com/PeakStats/sel...
Some of these peaks were never climbed before, or maybe I just couldn’t find any documented attempts or ascents. I am looking forward to an adventurous challenge for sure! I hope you guys enjoy this episode, and feel free to leave any feedback in the comments section.
Aloha!

Hunter Stafford You will like Poamoho. If you get the right weather views will be beautiful, and it is such a wild, isolated place. Enjoy!

@@HungaroExplorer that is the kind of hike I like! Is that True Manamana at 6:08? I just read your blog post about it. Awesome article and amazing videos btw. I hope to see more of these in the future :)

I’m going to do this hike, but only to pride rock. Is it easy to navigate until then? I’ve read a lot of posts about it being super overgrown
@HungaroExplorer
@HungaroExplorer 4 жыл бұрын
The trailhead of this approach is in Kahana Valley actually. If you do it from the Pride Rock side, that’s called South-East Ohulehule, and it is a way more dangerous approach, and yes more overgrown too. I suggest you do it the regular way first!

Great video Mr Hungaroooooo!!! I've been in quarantine for two months, and drinking A LOT of beer, guess I can't do this hike. :( BTW, are those shrimp thingy's in the stream edible?
@HungaroExplorer
@HungaroExplorer 4 жыл бұрын
Beers will definitely slow you down Marcus :)) Those “shrimpy things” are edible, but never tried them. I heard they are very tasty when you grille them!
