Not as quick drying than some other trail shoes. They have a lot of protection around the upper which make the shoe a bit less “quick drying”.

Thank you for your review. I just bought Tomir 2.0 (1 size up) I’m very happy the way up-hill but the way down-hill It hurts my toes so bad😢 even I wear trail socks. Any suggestions please let me know 🙏🏽
@HungaroExplorer7 күн бұрын
There are couple reasons why it can hurt your toes on the downhill. If the shoe is too small, probably not in your case. If the shoe doesn’t have a secure fit and your foot moves in the shoe. If you have a size bigger it might be too big so your foot moves in the shoe. I use my regular number and it fits nicely. Not sure what else to say.

Hi I usually wear shoes number 44 usually which passes with my orthopedic soles. But Salomon are shorts on my finger (finger touch too much and downhill worse) and with the new orthopedic soles I have I cannot even fit them in. checking the website Salomon has 44 2/3 or 45 1/3. if I should try to take a bigger size hoping they fit with my orthopedic soles but hoping they are nor too big so then the heel will move. which one do you think should I get? I have a 130 euro voucher but I must for sure use it on line so I cannot try the shoes before. I have a pair of Wings Flyte 2 GTX which are light great to walk, run and hike fast but they are (44) too short and feel small on the fingers. do you have a model to suggest? and which size u think? thank you
@HungaroExplorer9 күн бұрын
That is a hard question…I have custom insoles made for running and I don’t have to change sizes because of them. You can try the 44 2/3, the 45 1/3 might be way too big. I would order but make sure you can return it if the size doesn’t work

With orthopedics it is hard to estimate your shoe size, you should get. I have special insoles for high arches for runing but they fit in my shoe with no problem. If you buy more than a size biggger than your actual size, even with orthopedics can be big. I would go half size bigger maybe so the 44 2/3, but you can’t be sure. Make sure you can return the shoe before you buy it just in case

The BeFree filter shouldn’t be cleaned in dirty water! That will contaminate the filter. The backflush of Sawyer has to be done with clean water too. The Sawyer last longer but has a slower flow.

Thanks for this review. incredible quality and very clear. Trying to decide between this (Nnormal Tomir 2.0), Salomon Ultra Flow, Asics Trabuco Max 3, and Merrell Agility Peak 5. They'll be used 60% for hiking and 40% trail running with a bit of road here and there. In the UK, where usually its a bit muddy/mucky. Your opinion?
@HungaroExplorerАй бұрын
Thank You! I am very happy that you appreciate all the work put in this video. UK mountains can be often wet, so the Salomon Ultra Flow is out. It is the most cushioned shoes from all, but the traction is more for gravel type, light trail. (I have a review on my channel) The Agility Peak 5 and Tomir 2 is your best option in my opinion for those trails. They both have Vibram Megagrip which works very well on wet, rocky terrain. The Merrel will be cheaper but the Tomir 2 is way more durable and more scramble ready. I haven’t run in Asics yet. I hope this helps.

Hello. I'm looking for a shoe for running and walking on 70% asphalt and 30% terrain. I'm undecided between ultra glide 2 and ultra flow. can you help me?
@HungaroExplorerАй бұрын
The Ultra Glide is made more for different kind of trails, but Ultra Flow made more like a “door to trail” shoe, so it is comfortable on the road. In my opinion for walking more in road than trail, I suggest the Ultra Flow.
@abunsalАй бұрын
@@HungaroExplorer thanks a lot. Actually, my feet are uncombed and thin. For this reason, I cannot wear wide and loose-fitting shoes comfortably. The shoes must fit my feet tightly. Do you think ultra flow will cause a problem in this sense? Is there any other brand model you would recommend?
@HungaroExplorerАй бұрын
@abunsal the ultra flow is not loose fitting, but I think the best is if you try differebt shoes on. It is hard to tell what works with your type of foot.

Can i use this shoe as my only training shoe? Even running on tarmac roads?
@HungaroExplorerАй бұрын
You can use it as your only training shoe if you are only running on trails. Tarmac road might be ok but not for long miles and regular road is kind of uncomfortable in this hoe. The Tomir 2.0 has a softer midsole with better energy return so that could work better for tarmac road running in my opinion.

Hello Húngaro Explorer, I liked seeing you in Picos de Europa, it is the region where I live, very mountainous. A lot of people here wear the Nnormal Tomir; I haven't tried them yet, but the sole is the best for this area, as it usually rains and works very well on all types of terrain. For me the Salomon or Adidas fit better, although I miss the adhesion of the vibran megagrip, a greeting from Asturias, Spain

Thank you for this review - informative, simple and precise! I have had Salomon Thundercross GTX only for 3 weeks, but a time enough to share my impression: with its low-drop and 31/27 mm stack it feels like a superb tuned choice for me; the midsole is protective and it is cushioned enough for my taste; the outsole provides loads of dependable grip; with the quick lacing system I felt locked in all the way from the heel through to the forefoot - stable, protected, and comfortable along the way. I'm not quite sure for the durability but it will take some time to find out- not so long, because, besides running- I walk quite a lot every day - on different surfaces. 🙂

Thank you for your feedback Juliana! I am happy you enjoy wearing them. I ran about 300 miles in already (almost 500km) and it still looks pretty good, of course the lugs look worned but still enough for another 50 miles I think. No damage on the shoe, so I think it very durable. The grip have trouble grabbing wet surfaces in my experience. Great in mud, but if there is wet, packed trail it slips here and there, but nothing major.
