I would agree with France 24 if the election was at least close. But if you look at the results, not only did Orban's party gain 2 seats from the last election, but even the further right party (Our Homeland movement) gain 5 seats. The supposedly Anti-Russian alliance of 6 parities actually ended up losing 6 seats. Like it doesn't take a genius to figure out maybe Orban's policy might be actually popular.

For some reason, more and more Westerners coming to Hungary and looking for a house to live in, leaving their own "shining democracy" homeland for the totalitarian, undemocratic Hungary. True story, just the last week I met two German couples looking for a house in my area. One of the man was a doctor from Stuttgart, the other man was a IT expert working for Airbus. Interestingly enough they plan to move to Hungary because of the overall safety and low cost of living. After living myself in USA for 12 years, I can assure you finding a place to live with low cost of living AND safety in the same time is quite a unique phenomena. Hungary is one of this rare kind of country. Yes, because it is totalitarian. We refuse all woke bullshit which turn every nice place into a liberal sh.t hole, like California. If you don't admit "totalitarianism" and "popularism" is the only way to be safe, you are a fool. You are fool because you are not able to realize, liberalism is also a totalitarian approach, just way worse than national popularism.

Maybe Orban is authoritarian, but a few soundbites hardly proves it. Could as easily be left wing "news." He should not, however, be able to censor the media. Authoratian in your langage, but let us not disregard the facts: namely, among all the possible options, he was the one who won this election by a very convincing margin. For the fourth time. We want him, and you should respect our internal affairs. Mind your language when you next speak about us. Be politic and wise. Be European, respectful and tolerant. Do not just speak about these virtues. Practise them also. Otherwise, you are not more than just a fine epitome of a cheap hypocrite.

Fourth term? That's nothing. In the U.S., there are plenty of senators who've been in office for over 30 years and some even over 40 years. Longer than even Soviet leaders. As for gerrymandering, that's a practice invented and perfected in the U.S.

Similar indexes are used to describe european countries as more free with better free speech protections than the USA, even though these countries have a TON of free speech restrictions that the USA lacks.
