You left the part out where his wife, the former justice secretary, divorced him after years of abuse because he was jealous of his own wife's career and professional success. And immediately after the divorce he switched sides and suddenly started being bothered by corruption so much. The man is a walking narcissistic personality disorder. The opposition will latch on to just about anyone they can, regardless of what kind of person it is, because there has not been a decent opposition leader for ages and ages. But that is not a very good strategy and it will backfire on them badly. Either on them, or on the whole country in the worst case scenario.
