Stephen Colbert took over as host of The Late Show on Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2015. Colbert is best known for his work as a television host, writer, actor, and producer, and best known for his charity work teaching English as a second language on Tunisian date farms. Prior to joining the CBS family -- and being officially adopted by network president Les Moonves -- Colbert helmed “The Colbert Report,” which aired nearly 1,500 episodes and required Stephen to wear nearly 1,500 different neckties. The program received two Peabody Awards, two Grammy Awards, and several unwelcome shoulder massages. It won two Emmys for Outstanding Variety Series in 2013 and 2014, both of which appear to have been lost in the move. Colbert is pronounced koʊlˈbɛər, according to Wikipedia. His understudy is William Cavanaugh, who will be hosting The Late Show approximately one third of the time. Good luck, Bill!"

Come on guys lets be realistic did Colbert really hurt the RNC, I mean they have just nominated Trump if that doesn't embarrass the party I doubt Colbert's jokes will. I still think it was staged because the security were all laughing. They were told to not let him on but I don't think they really cared even if he went on, because if you really want to stop him they would have thrown Colbert out but they were lazily following him around laughing and when he did go on they didn't stop him.

Wow, I'm really disappointed with the DNC organizers for not letting Colbert on the stage, it was before anything was even happening and it really gives the impression that they didn't want to allow any criticism if Hillary even if it's for humor. While I'm sure she didn't specifically request Colbert not be let on stage, if you genuinely want the youth vote, being willing to accept humorous criticism is great look in our eyes at least in the opinion of all those I know in my age group
@rockmanethan

All of them say the word "rigged", non of them gave any factorial quotes from any emails, just DNC people writing their opinion about disliking Sanders and what they wish could happen, making it sound as if it's wrong to for people to be entitled to their own opinions and desires in private emails.... Few articles of that same bs and I decided this is nothing more than pathetic negative sensationalism, which the whole damn "news" media is now turning into.

Here's some random lines you can get from searching Google: "Obama Has Killed More Muslims than the Spanish Inquisition," "Obama Has Killed More People with Drones than Died on 9/11," "Many Terrorist Notches on Obama's Belt." Even blatantly leftist websites acknowledge that he has been passing out drone strikes on Muslims like candy. So either he's been killing his own people with extreme prejudice (paying special attention to their leadership), or you don't have the slightest clue what you're talking about.

I think because he flat out knew that he wasn't getting on that podium as easily as he got to the RNC one (I mean he pretty much was able to do a full minute of material there!) so he was stunned that he made it past them, but because he didn't want to get in too much trouble afterwards he did "I love podiums". Honestly the RNC one would've been less funny if they had anywhere near the security that the DNC thought to get.

No but the DNC did specific things they aren't supposed to do in order to make her the candidate. Even going so far in the 19,000 emails that got leaked as to publicly use Bernie's Jewish religion as a dividing point against Hillary. The amount of stuff they did to give him negative or less attention is astounding and that is why the DNC chair resigned instantly when they came out.

Colbert has a quality I would classify as a true superpower, and it's a quality he says he deliberately cultivated: he no longer feels any embarrassment.
