Scent bird is dope.. I've ordered from them for over 4 yrs. The latest one I'm loving is Tom Ford's Tobacco Vanilla ' ❤ he's right, it's great to be able to try a small portion first in case you don't like the scent because some scents i love cost over $300 (Creed's Kilian etc) and I don't like wasting money

Yo I actually bought a pair of these. You have always had such high praises for Lems, so I decided "The next pair of shoes I get, I'm trying them." And I have to say, they live up to the hype. They're the perfect all around shoe for me. I can wear them to work and walk around on concrete and pavement all day eith absolutely no foot pain. They breathe so my feet don't sweat. The toe box accommodates my feet perfectly (no toe squeeze!). And the fit and finish is perfect. I've never inspected a shoe out of the box and not found imperfections with them. Thanks so much for the recommendation and all of the free education on shoes. I've learned so much from your channel.

I've never tried barefoot shoes but with my hypermobility I really need support in a shoe. Personally I find a birkenstock hard to beat. The birkenstock bend is like the oswegos you cut in half awhile ago, except with laces. I have 3 pairs and it's pretty much the only thing I wear now.

I bought a pair of women’s in white, which are WAY comfortable! They may not be sleek, but look less like “work shoes” in the white color way. I wear them on the daily when I walk/hike with my dog and they’ve held up reasonably (the tread is wearing after 6 months on the bottom, but average for most shoes for the terrain and length of walks).

I had forgotten that you tried splay. I got a pair of splay, and I have to say they are supper comfortable. Although when I first put them on they were a bit narrow in the waist of the shoe. Thankfully though the middle stretched out quickly and became the most comfortable shoes I have ever warn.

I have about 10 pairs of lems. However, my go to casual shoe that they have is their chillums. They are fabric and not leather so I wouldn't say they are as durable. but they are super comfortable and come in several different colors.

For a casual sneaker I really love what feiyue does. They’re 20-40 bucks, regularly on sale, have absolutely no frills, and I get compliments whenever I wear them. And when I’ve beaten them past “outside” wear they become my house shoes.

I was skeptical about zero drop/barefoot shoes for a long time. You actually convinced me to try one, and I haven't looked back . I have 3 pairs of Lem's: The Boulder boot, Primal Zen, and Nine2Five. They're great, especially since I'm too old to worry if they look clownish. The only situations they don't cover are the muddy hike and rocky shoreline. I'll take a look at the Barefoot Rangers.

Great video dude 👏 I got a pair of these in black and white out colorways, as the canvas Lems Chillum was the best all around shoe for me I’ve found. Totally echo some of your sentiments, esp the painted leather, and aesthetic for the all black colorway. Just ordered the new Chillum Grip brown leather, and I am thinking it is going to be the ideal all around shoe for my search. Pricey though. But the canvas Chillums lasted me a year of nearly exclusive use while traveling full time. Great shoes

I bought a pair of these about 3 months ago and they are so comfortable. However I recently scuffed the toe and it peeled off thin piece of rubbery feeling skin about the size of a nickel instead of just scratching it which made me think it was not really leather. Kind of reassured by your show, but I have never seen leather do that.

So excited to see what you discover in this series. I've been looking for years for that perfect shoe, pretty much in line with your requirements. My compromise so far has been the minimal drop. I've found plenty of shoes that are wide, comfortable, flexible and stylish, but they all have running style shoe drop. Not sure why it's so hard for companies to make shoes that look cool with near zero drop.

love this series, as I too am on a quest! The closest I've found is the Nike Flex Experience Run 12 in wide. Flex isn't zero drop, but it's just enough, IMO. The toe box is perfect, it looks good black on black, has great ground feel, and is super comfy. it's a shame Nike doesn't do more Flex products.

My issue with Lems is that bit of swell they have at the arch. It looks tiny but the foam in these collapse at the heel and the ball of your foot which exaggerates that swell. So, after a few weeks of wear, they start touching my arches and that is just something I don't like. Lems is such a close to perfect shoe for me but just misses the mark. Still the closest thing I have found to perfect yet.

Over $50 for a cheap Chinese shoe is very hard to get past considering that's the modern price of converse (at least on regular normal sales). I hate walking any distance in converse, but for the purpose of cheap, slip out of more expensive quality footwear, but still walk around a bit shoes, they're good enough so it has to be around that price. Also because around ~$150 is what I pay for dedicated workout or trail running shoes, work shoes with cushion and support, or US made military boots from a couple brands.

theres a difference between boots and sneakers in this sense... he doesnt mark them down for the cloth lining or subpar leather (like he did for the boulder boots) because thats to be expected for a sneaker. As far as sneakers go these are up there in terms of quality and comfort, you are overpaying a little bit for made in china shoes, but that because they dont have good competition in this niche.

I'd like to see Greats cut in half. The originals were very comfy for my wide feet, looked good and were good underfoot. Sometime after year 2 of Greats founding, they changed how they feel underfoot and the footbed is horribly uncomfortable for 'all day comfort' for my feet. I still wear my beaten gen1's over my newer gen2's - I feel like they are riding off the marketing, hype and comfort of their generation 1 Royales and now are over-rated.
