Great episode.... Hunter with white socks and too tight pants. DeeDee as gorgeous as ever. The two of them are the best detective pair ever in a drama.

The character creation in this series is outstanding. I create works of fiction myself, along with some devotional writing, so one could say this viewer is more than a lttle familiar with the art. Pockets is one of my favorites, probably even more so than Sporty James and Kenny Dunston the Legend, and I greatly enjoy seeing these characters personified with such good acting. Thumbs up, and thank you Filmrise Television!

Hunter was one of the best action TV programs. A great adaptation of Dirty Harry.

During the 1st season, he was supposed to be TV's Dirty Harry and it never worked, so Stephen J. Cannell stepped down as Executive Producer and called on Roy Huggins and he made the show smarter and better by changing it from an action cop show to more of a crime drama and the ratings improved and lasted until '91

41:22 Wow I've been looking for this episode! I remember watching this back in 2003 on rerun and hearing the "alcoholic homeless black lady" cooperating with Hunter & co. saying "No way José!" and thinking WOW, I HAVEN'T HEARD THAT EXPRESSION USED SINCE I WAS IN GRADE SCHOOL BACK IN THE EARLY 90s! Lol!

Very lovely. I wish Hunter would razz his quarry sometimes. Like "B!tch, do you really think you're any match for me???" Of course he's above that. He blows her away and she never gets to find out that she was just a piece of crap. But she probably already knew that anyway. I liked Pockets. She was happy where she was and that's all that mattered. Sometimes in life you come to realize these things. You don't need a private jet and multiple homes to be happy in life.

For a split second at the beginning of the episode when you see part of a dead body in the dumpster and a cop taking a picture of it, you can see one of the fingers of the "dead" body move.

I just wish the show didn't put spoilers in the start of the episode. They should have just saved those parts for TV promo's, because it gives away too much of what is going to happen.

At first it seemed like a ho hum average episode then THINGS CHANGED! I won't spoil it for anyone who might catch this comment before watching the episode. I really liked Pockets, What an engaging character. I liked that Hunter & McCall actually had respect for her and genuinely cared. Speaking of McCall this was an episode that was really driven by her. Yes, Hunter got the collar but it was McCall who really pushed the investigation IMO. Now onto thoughts about season 2: - Fave episodes: Night of the Dragons, Rape and Revenge Pts 1 & 2, Scrap Metal, Beautiful and the Dead Pts 1 & 2 and the return of Typhoon Thompson - worst episodes: Rich Girl, Killer in the Halloween Mask and Blow-Up (moreso for stupidity from Hunter/McCall and plot holes though I enjoyed the villain) 3 things I noticed in S2: 1) I had at first really liked Captain Wyler. I liked that he was business like and always seemed to be busy with something which made the police station seem livelier. However, as the season got along he became wimpier, bureaucratic and stupid. I think that' the main reason why John Shearin came on board as Finn as he was far more credible than Wyler. 2) For a show that seems like a silly cop show from the '80s they tackled some real issues that are still relevant today. Yeah, there's some over the top '80s elements but deep down these are elements that are still on a lot of people's minds. Think Blue and Fagin 1986 are excellent episodes when looking at the context of today. 3) I loved that this show also had some women writers and directors. For a show that had a lot of testosterone there were a surprising number of female voices that give the show some nuance behind the violence. Last but not least, the intro to S2 on here is the same as S1. This is the case with syndicated airings as well. The reason for this was the original S2 intro had a clip of Hunter walking into a women's area and I guess that was too controversial for repeated airings. Speaking of the intros, S3-5 are VERY cinematic.
