Gon just wanted to find his dad, but he ended up meeting alot of wonderful friends. Hunter x Hunter is one big detour.

Just wanted to say I've looked forward to your HxH reactions every week since you've started watching the series. The journeys been incredible, but lets enjoy the little detours to the fullest!

Just a small warning about the manga that catches a lot of people off guard who are just finishing the anime and want to continue the story: Togashi's writing can be very....wordy, for lack of a better word. There are some pages (very very few but they exist) that are literally like 90% covered in words. Togashi does his best to explain everything that he can, and that can make the pacing feel like a chore to get through at certain points, but honestly the arc that comes after the end of the anime, the Dark Continent arc, is one of the most exiting arcs in the entire story so far, with some of the most intriguing Nen abilities and battles in the entire series (including one that many have been looking forward to for many, many years, and yes it lives up to the wildest expectations), so in my humble opinion, it's definitely worth the read. And dont be ashamed if you need to reread chapters multiple times to understand everything. I certainly did.

More like the author himself is implicating that we must appreciate/enjoy the little episodes/arcs in anime or chapters in manga because he might die first before the anime concludes(actual goal). P.S: Togashi-sensei really did have a disturbing interview where he states that "..I might actually die first before the story reaches the final conclusion" He then added: "If that happens, I'll let my wife(the creator of Sailor Moon) do the rest of the story".

I love Ging's "Little detours" quote because it's not only a pretty sage bit of advice, but it's also a convenient way for him to say "Alright, you found me kid... NOW YOU CAN STOP LOOKING FOR ME, SEE YA LATER"

That intro made me so emotional 😭 best opening in the history of reactions 💖 I cant believe it's over! Loved the intro with the flashbacks to the previous reactions. This final episode will always be a special one to me. The main arc of Gon finding his dad wraps up and Togashi just hits you in the head with the Dark Continent. Madhouse also did a good job with wrapping the anime up, making it all come full circle. While Togashi makes you wanting more. It never was an annoying ending to me with an abrupt ending. I'm at least glad Gon's arc got wrapped up. I can also fill in the blanks with Kurapika, he went on to find the eyes of his clan, Leorio went on to become a doctor, Killua went on to protect Alluka and do for her what Gon did for him. While Gon goes on his new journey in life after having learned harsh life lessons, seeking forgiveness from Ging/Kite/Killua and learning that his selfishness brought a lot of people pain. While the most important thing in his life are his friends he meets in the detours of life and not the main journey. I remember watching this episode in 2014 and vowing to myself I wouldn't read the manga at least not until 2020 in case the anime would return with the Dark Continent arc. Guess what? Still no return to the anime and Togashi started going on even bigger hiatusses. I guess I'll have to start the manga soon.

I finished Hunter X Hunter close to you guys, about 2 weeks before. I have to say it's the best anime I have ever watched, it even knocked One Punch Man off of my #1 favorite spot to #2, something I thought would never happen... I'm glad I watched it after the dub was completed, I'm just kinda mad at myself for burning through it within a month of discovering it. If I knew it was this good, I definitely would have savored it more.

HxH is the greatest anime of all time in my opinion, the plot/writing, characters and their development, osts, analogies to compare to the real world. So many things to learn from too. In my opinion, Ging is the best character and his optimistic and positive mindset is what led him to true happiness. Many people judge him for being a bad father but forget that he is introduced as one of the best hunters to ever exist. Being ambitious and exploring as a hunter is his priority and nothing got in his way. He did what he wanted and on his journey he made so many friends and experienced life in a way where he enjoyed the struggle it took to become an amazing hunter and accomplish his goals as a hunter (excavating ruins and finding Pandora's Box, creating Greed Island, teaching others and making friends along his journey). Gon understands this and admires Ging, that's why Gon is so excited to meet Ging, not as a father, but as a hunter. Plus, Ging set Gon on a path to become a hunter with the friends and students he's had, he indirectly helped him become a hunter and a better person. As a hunter, you're bound to get hurt, it's the most dangerous job so there's no point complaining about Ging not being there for Gon just because he got hurt. Plus, all of Gon's friends and Ging's friends are there for Gon. When Killua gets hurt, his family isn't there for him, there's worse parents like Gyro's father. Ging is selfish and he admits it but he attained true happiness and became one of the top 5 nen users in the world. It's obvious that someone of that caliber and someone who's that ambitious is going to be busy to the poimt where he can't see Gon. He would bring Gon along with him but it's too dangerous for Gon to be around such a strong hunter, so he gave Gon to someone who was able to take care of him and set all the groundwork for Gon to follow if he wanted to be a hunter. Truly an inspirational and amazing character. Also, Gon will most likely not be able to go with Ging to the Dark Continent, Meruem was the son of a mere ANT from the outside world and was so powerful, just imagine the other creatures. Gon and Killua can't handle its harsh environment that was explained by Ging. Gon is too weak for now, so maybe years later when Gon and Killua grow up with lots of training, they can go together to the Dark Continent aka the world above the world tree. It was a fun journey watching you guys react to HxH. Hopefully Togashi returns to continue this masterpiece.

I want you ladies to watch " Your lie in April" next. This is kind of tear-jerker drama but the animation is beautiful, music is amazing. And one of the coolest thing is the animation's fingers movement and motion that when the character plays the instrument. Because the staff who making the animation has interviewed classical musicians and they create their motion accurately. This anime is kind of "Real". The story might be fit to anyone. Very Realistic Story, Music, Voice actors, and the Art Design. Everything is amazing.

Words cannot describe how I felt when I heard the 'Hyori Ittai' overture playing over all the flashbacks for the first time...
