Zoldyck family seems to be following a tradition where they refer to female children of their family as a boy/male. Like how Illumi called Alluka his younger brother, but Killua said she is his sister and that she is a girl, it is also evident that Alluka is a girl. Kalluto is also referred to as a 'brother' despite looking like a young girl. And if we take Zoldyck's family tradition into account, Kalluto might very well be a girl and not a boy.

No both alluka and kalluto were born male alluka is trans and that's why killua (the only member of their family who loves her) calls her a girl while the members of the family who don't like her refer to her as a boy. Kalluto is just cross dressing though if i remember correctly their mother likes to dress the children up in her old kimonos when they're young (the last part could be me misremembering though).

@@Leaf-fi Nope, Kalluto is a girl according to my imagination and I am free to imagine and accept her as a female. Having character(s) who are gender ambiguous means I am free to believe whatever I want. I am not going to be confused by Togashi's lame attempt to brand female-looking characters as males. Togashi even said that Kalluto is based on a Sailor Moon character called Hotaru Tomoe, whom is a female, and they look very similar. What I said above applies to Kalluto alone. For Alluka, she is canonically a girl. Killua said that the only one reason why a female butler (Canary) was required to come with them was because Goto (an "old man") couldn't possibly take care of Alluka's "delicate" needs. Furthermore, the name Alluka is a very feminine name.

@@fromOPHIRwithLove i mean you are free to believe what you want however what im telling you is canon info not stuff from my imagination both kalluto and alluka are assigned male in the databook. Also I did say alluka was canonically a girl i just said she was a trans girl hence why her family members who hate her refer to her as their brother and don't accept her whereas killua who loves her refers to her as his sister because he loves and accepts her. But as I said you are free to believe what you want.

@The_Ace. Trans* (Transgender is wrong) Check a little about Togashi's LGBTQ+ inclusion. Killua is the only one who treated her as a girl and he was the one who cared about Alluka. Still, Alluka's "powers" are far from her gender identity, since that doesn't make sense. Nanika isn't a human, she is not a girl even though she is femenine. Alluka is the girl, Killua said it.

I guess he was actually "was" about to be teach about Nen...but his Father seems to think that "leaving him to learn by himself" is the best way for him to get stronger since he's a natural at it (idk, just my assumption)

my theory is that they wanted to wait until they were sure Killua was devoted to the family as the next heir, since Illumi is using nen to keep Killua in check. the fact that Killua accomplished so much as an assassin without nen is probably why they consider him the most talented zoldyck in history
