Btw idk if this is worth mentioning, but a sign u can get from this arc that gon was unhinged was how quickly his anger towards razor dissipated after finding out what the guy did for him to deserve death. It’s basically like saying that gon wouldn’t have a problem with killing someone’s for doing evil deeds. Much different from a lot of other shonen mc

Ah I forgot about Killua’s yo-yos. And completely missed the detail that they were designed by Milluki. I almost thought he was mostly useless, save for a few tech wizard moments. But that just makes me appreciate the technology aspect of the Zoldyk family even more. I want to know about the Mom’s eyes and rocket launcher lol.

It’s a pretty enjoyable arc I wouldn’t say it my favorite unlike phantom troupe but I sorta found it entertaining .When compared to shonen jump arcs I sorta like the greed island arc would in between some arcs of bleach and the timeskip when Naruto shippuden

For a second there I thought they actually made a game about this Arc I would be so happy. LOL

The one thing I think I like the most about hxh is that there transitions between arcs feel super natural. With one piece I feel like sometimes we come to expect what happens at the end of an arc usually the crew going on a boat and leaving not to say that the transitions are bad but I just like the natural feel of the transition within all arcs

I watched greed Island for the firdt time when i was 12 yo and it was one of the most enjoyable hxh arcs for me,. I didn't get why most videos I've seen till now review it as a lesser arc. I am glad someone gave it the creditd it deserves and to know there are people who enjoyed it as well

My favorite aspect of this arc is how it shows glimpses of Gon's darker side, his pride, his stubborness and his hatred of being weak, it perfectly sets up his breakdown in the Chimera Ant Arc

I just finished watching this arc for the second time. I first watched it over a year ago. But after hearing all the negativity about it I didn’t have high expectations. I was so glad to see how wrong these bad reviews were. I really loved this arc. I thought the game aspect of the arc was amazing, which is one of the main critics this arc receives. And I loved the training episodes. The complexity of them having to switch where they out offensive nen and defensive nen and at what percent was such a cool idea which totally makes sense. And yeah the main villain wasn’t the best but I don’t think he is the point, it’s more about how the environment creates a villain culture within the game. Which is also an amazing concept. Great video. I’m really enjoying your series.

And all of what you have said it's why Greed Island is my favorite Hunter X Hunter arc, it isn't the best, but what it does, it's amazing, from exploring Nen to exploring a new game, to exploring relationships to other individuals in different ways. It does a lot amazingly well, and in an organic way!!! :D

Although I am not a hardcore gamer of RPG nor a hardcore fan, yet. But after watching greed island twice (counting 1999 Ova), it make me reconsider to play all other RPG games both westerner and Japanese games and to have fun with life of adventure. As a wiseman once said, “life is adventure, it not about destination it’s about live your life to the fullest.”

This the last arc of Hxh I could enjoy from start to finish. When the battles had relatively good flow, was so melodramatic and adventurous fun vibes. The only complaint? Not seeing the usual gang of Gon, Killua, Leorio and Kurapika together :( . A very nice and incentive card system. Was like discovering another Yu-Gi-Oh again but useful in battle as well.

Gon had memory card with a CLEARED game. Which 3 cards were brought out? Most likely Ging brought the stone baby card out, and that's how Gon was born. If I remember correctly, the stone baby is like Blue Planet, it can go out without shenanigans like Gon did. But something tells me Ging still has an Accompany On card on him. Maybe his voyage into the dark continent is a rescue mission. He might Accompany On Don Freecs out of there?

Togashi wanted to add more content on nen and Gon and Killua had to catch back on the strong character, so no choice, he had to make a training arc, and well some part of the training are cliché and not bring a lot of entertainement, but the fact that the game is design to be a training is actually amazing.. and kinda crazy consider how hard the game is(specially card #2), this arc had 2 antagonist and that's perfect, the boomer is annoying and everyone is affraid of him, he seem to be the main antagonist, but gon&killua doesn't care about him, they chose to let everyone die and focus on the antagonist they really want to beat... the game(including razor). And that just show how rude is this world and how insentive are our 2 protagonist this is for those reason that greed island is my favorite isekai

while not my favorite arc i still think it was a great arc.

Genthru is like a normal jrpg final villan and in a way togashi was making fun of the troupes in jrpgs by showing a very good antagonist like razor and a cliche antagonist of a general jrpg (genthru) but the final battle was one the best battles of hxh with full of suspense well planned togashi

My only complaint about greed island is that Bisky and Killua should have known better than to let Gon take on Genthru. While we had never seen his pride and stubborness go that far, they should have known that he could not withstand pretending to be weak and being mocked for it. They really should have had gon take on sub or bara. They at least could have been dealt with by gon much more readily. I realize Killua's hands were too hurt to take on Genthru, but Bisky could have easily done it.

I think bobobo , razors grunt henchman , is based of bobobo bobobo , because Chrollo literally reads a copy of bobobobo manga later on

This is my favs arc. I mean Chimera Arc was good,I just really prefer more Greed Island arc.

I made it this far.. I can't do it anymore. Time to watch the series again! This is a great arc. I dislike the Bug arc more than anything. I didn't finish it the first time. Watched it a second, but still didn't like it. It isn't bad. It is just a change from anything else before. It wasn't the ability of the characters that won but the slow poisoning and love that won the day. It isn't Sailor Moon ;)

I have played a lot RPGs and I understood what togashi had done making Genthru not many can understand the pain of having same cliche final antagonist of a general jrpgs are boring as fuck and Togashi basically made fun of it by having Genthru as final antagonist instead of razor by showing hell a difference in charecter between them.Also since togashi took inspiration from jrpgs he made a bland final antagonist similar to most jrpgs as well
