Ol popcorn still has about 43 gallons of his top shelf moonshine somewhere in Southern Kentucky. In or very close to a small town called Monticello which sits on the ky/tn line up in the mountains. He and a Criswell man made alot of moonshine together. Very few people that knew Popcorn didn't know about that Criswell man. The guys name was Lyle Criswell and lived in that small town. Hes dead now. Died back in 2013 or 2014. Not certain exactly. I just know there are ATLEAST 43 gallons somewhere in the mountains of Monticello Kentucky. Ive had shine from all over and the best I've ever tasted came from Kentucky. That entire state sits on top of limestone. Which is why it has more caves then any other state. Also why their grass is so green. Its so green its has a bit of a bluish tint which is why its called bluegrass. Thats one absolutely beautiful state.

You know I actually heard about that a few yrs ago. The guys name is Lyle, you had it correct. He and popcorn made ALOT of shine together but very few knew about the Criswell man. Its the way they wanted it. I also have to agree about Kentucky having the best tasting moonshine. RIP Popcorn & Lyle Criswell. Hopefully your liquor will be found. What I wouldn't give to be able to have one of the gallons that was hid. Omg it would be sooooo good after sitting for a few years. Yum! Haha

They mentioned that Criswell man's name in a documentary i watched years ago. They were interviewing popcorn and he said he had an old friend in Kentucky that he's made alot of liquor with and said that alot of my best shine was made with Lyle. Id love to get ahold of some of that liquor if they ever find it. It would be dangerously good. Ha ha ha

Cock county Tennessee is one of those places…stayed at the cock county high school during a mission trip in middle school and rebuilt a bunch of beaten down trailers for those less fortunate. But one thing those folks all had in common is respect and dignity. Much respect.

I was given four bottles of Digger's moonshine at a music festival at Suwanee Music Park in Florida 2012. First was uncut one was apple pie the next was blueberry and the last one was lemon drop all made from the fruits grown on his property along with the corn and rye that he also grew on the farm. I never had shine directly from Popcorn but I can tell you if Digger's is anywhere close then his was hands down the best damn likker that was ever created. They make it an art form that no one could ever possibly compete with.

So you drank some of his moonshine? I call bs, if you did you would have led with that. I can believe you met him, but if you only saw him at the pet store how on earth did you taste his moonshine it's not like he carries it around letting people sample it . Why can't you just say that you met him and that's good enough. You didn't have to throw that lie in at the end.

It's sad that Social media and tv has made people obsessed with being known by many people. Sure people know the name and actions of a guy who made moonshine. That does not matter and I'm sure that he did not give a single shit if random people knew his name or not. I do agree tho that he should rest in peace and I hope that his family and friends and loved ones all remember his legacy forever. Your comment of "at least they know about him" is the part that is sad. What difference does that really make? Thats the same attitude that led to millions of women showing off their body online on onlyfans. The same attitude that led to a generation of social media "influencers" its really fucking pathetic. The amount of people who know you means nothing to anyone. There are so many scientists that dedicated their entire lives to bettering mankind and nobody remembers them. Nobody can name me a single scientist to made a vaccine or discovered somthing that saved millions of lives. But you act like it matters that people know he made moonshine. I would go as far to say that you are disrespecting his legacy by only caring about people knowing his name because he did not give a fuck. He was a great guy and I watched the documentary that the other guy mentioned. I feel bad for the idiots who are putting so much effort into their "popularity" as if life is one big highschool. and when they die, in their last moments they will think "damn i wish i had used those tens of thousands of hours i put into social media and my "image" into living life to the fullest. Delete your social media, stop craving attention and your life will feel more fullfilling. This isnt targeted at you specifically. You just made a good example of the pathetic mindset that is dulling humans as a species.

There are probably 100,000 broken mason jars/jugs/bottles in the woods in the appalachian mountains. Thats a low ball number. I don't mean to sound like an asshole by saying that but it kind of scares me that people will watch this video and be like "I found a broken mason jar in the woods it I bet popcorn put it there" You have better chances at getting struck by lighting than to just stumble upon a jar placed by popcorn. I remember in HS (2014ish) finding a bottle of Popcorn Sutton's whiskey in my fathers closet and boy did it taste good when me and all my buddies drank it and tried to out run the police lmfao. Father had to come pick us up since my buddy passed the sobriety test even tho they knew we were all drunk
