Grandma's soundtrack is B-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-C-K!!! Time for milk and cookies! 😂 Just teasing, buddy! I really enjoy your content and you are such a humble, genuine person. That being said, you missed all those x-men books from the 150's--170's for 2 bucks! Those are $10+ books in higher grade especially those 2 Binary first appearance issues that go for $40ish. Get back out there and snatch them up! Keep up the good work and don't be discouraged to play Grandma's soundtrack. It is quite relaxing 😴🤤😅👍

I did not catch the price but that Star*Reach comic you passed on, on that spinner, is a cool series. Early creator owned comics from the 70's. I believe the issue you showed was #2. Neal Adams cover plus Starlin & Giordano (and others) art inside. Dan

That was some interesting information about the X-Men 428. I was not reading books at that time and it sounds like I didn’t need to with that series! Marvel did put some duds over the years but that one sounded bad! There’s a dollar you won’t get back!😂

Great to see you even more passionate about the X-Men than usual Mike. I always associate Chuck Austen with the Marvel MAX series U.S. War Machine from the early 2000s and with Elektra from around the same time and I enjoyed both. However, from your description, his Nightcrawler story breaks down in logic and crosses the line into uncomfortable, even questionable, plots. It reminds me of the Avengers story leading up to #200 of the original series in which Carol Danvers goes through an accelerated pregnancy and learns that she was unknowingly impregnated by the very being she gives birth to. In both cases I have to ask: where were the editors when this was happening and why didn't they see that these stories were inappropriate on several levels?

Intresting retcon backstory of Nightcrawler, especially the part where Nightcrawler and Angel of the X-Men were descendants of Demons and Angels of heaven. Very familiar story from Jack Kirby's Eternals storyline between humans and deviants clashing because of their differences, all because of the Celestials. Nice review.

If you liked Blue Beetle the movie and the actor who plays Jaime, you may enjoy the tv show a Cobra Kai. He is one of the lead characters. If you enjoy the Karate Kid movies this is a fun watch with most actors from the 80s films having key roles. I just recently discussed your channel and really enjoy your videos. I'm more of a DC guy, that's what I read in the 80s and 90s. I've been exploring Marvel lately and am enjoying it. Small baby steps. I plan on X Men or Fantastic Four next.

Lmao the end!! As a nightcrawler fan thank you. I was going to suggest a short where you were lost in the woods and needed to start a fire and as luck would have it you have the best kindling lol. I'm hugely against destroying any book/comicbook. So for me to suggest that...yeah you may get how I felt hearing that storyline. I missed a lot of the early 2000s to current times. When they started changing the comic to reflect the movie I literally mind vomited (if that's a thing...it is now lmao). It turned me away from all comics actually for a long time. Just started getting back into it last year. Think I mentioned that before. On another note I didn't realize that uncanny spiderman was going to be about nightcrawler's origin. I may have to check it out after all. I thought they were doing some spidey verse thing where one of the world's nightcrawlers decided to become spiderman. (I'm getting tired of spider clones big time. Then they do it with venom too...oy) Again love the vid and the info. You remain one of the best Mike, thank you for keeping my hope alive for a hobby I love.

I was in the Fitchburg/Leominster area recently. Your store tour videos were inspiration, so i did the Lunch money comic mini tour . I stopped by that's entertainment in Fitchburg, not Worcester and Wonderland comics on the way home. I didn't have time for the antique stores in Putnam. Fitchburg had 3 comics that I wanted. Interestingly bought the 1980s reboot of Blue Beetle on ebay the seller sent me a vintage issue of Blue Beetle which was an independent comic company published in the 1960s and i owned it in the 1980s the dc reboot never read it, ironically up until the Dark knight and watchmen most people thought Dc comics were uncool, ie the people i knew only thought about Blue Beetle after watching the movie which was cheesy but fun.....didn't know about the comic until just now unfortunately Mike led me to spend my last four pounds on the Avengers 292 so pleased but still addicted to collecting haha.
