You are conflating “rare” with “popular”. The game rolls for species first (35 species) and then villager out of that species. Theres only 3 octopus while there are 23 cats so Zucker is actually about 8x more common than Raymond. Thats why the octopus sell for so little cause they are so common

I watched the whole video because I just had a villager hunt also. Out with Bill and in with Phoebe. I can’t believe Phoebe isn’t on the top tier list. She a sisterly ostrich type decorated like a Phoenix bird. She is gorgeous. Bill is a cute jock duck, but I already had a jock. I actually like Jitters because I also like coffee and he is super high energy. He looks awesome in Sporty Shades. His colors are based on the Brazilian flag. I always shop for villagers based on their house also. I had Zucker for awhile, but the walls inside his house were ugly. I’m sad they gave him such an ugly house (it was like trash or broken wire fences??). My son loves pandas, so I’m not allowed to give away Chester (bear cub). He makes for a very cute lazy villager. He is the one bear that looks the most like a real panda.
