(Hunting Gear) Pronghorn antelope hunting gear - onXmaps chips and GPS

Hunting pronghorn antelope today requires an onXmap chip and a GPS.
In my "don't leave home without it" pile is my Garmin GPS and my map chip by onXmaps. If you hunt any animal, especially animals that spend a lot of time in the public-private interface, you have to own this map chip technology by onXmaps.

Randy any advice on purchasing your first Hand held GPS? I live in Montana and plan on getting in to Solo DIY hunts. I have never used one before

I use a Garmin Montanan. The 650T is the one I use. The onXmaps chips are absolutely critical. Good luck and thanks for watching.

Sir have some questions, does the chip tell you when you get close to other land parcels, how close to the boundaries will it tell you. Does it show you exactly where you are with a cursor so you do not cross un posted land. I know dumb questions but I do not know. Thank you Sir

It shows exactly where you are standing. That tells you how close you are to any boundary.

The chip is a terrible tool I have been using the $30 app and it's great all the layers you want, Birdseye view, and a ton of features. I just bought the chip thinking it would be similar to the app just on my gps and I feel like I went back in time 100 years. Pretty much wasted $100 on the chip no Birdseye or anything doesn't even link my waypoints that I Found while escouting.
