I'll always have a love for the old FLH Harley-Davidsons. These bikes are timeless and just drip with class! Truly an American icon and this bike looks like it was kept in somebody's living room. Gorgeous machine indeed.

This is truly a once in a lifetime real motorcycle. The last time I saw one of these is when I was 15 years old and I had my very first bike. An older guy in his late twenties that was a family friend had just bought one just like this and he offered me to ride it. I couldn't believe that he had offered me to ride his brand new Harley but he did. I was so scared of fucking it up that I had to tell him that I really, really, appreciated his confidence in me but I was too scared to ride it. I would take a raincheck on it until I was a little bit older. I never did get to ride it but I did ride on it behind him for a little trip and it was awesome. I wish I had one like it today, it would be just crazy awesome. Like your videos and love all of the bikes. Maybe one day I'll get to buy something from you. Still riding today-keep it between the ditches.

I think even Willie G himself would want to ride this old gal! Incredible bike and built in the year I was born!

I was selling those things in 1969 and wrenching on them in a Harley shop. I was not impressed with them . I always rode my 650 Triumph to the Harley shop to go to work. You are correct that it is well preserved and if a person, like Jay Leno keeps old bikes for historical reasons I say fine. But what I object to, is a bunch of jerks , that sacrifice speed, handling, comfort , reliability and buy that old outdated designed junk for everyday use! A new 2019 Harley's performance is not as good as a 1969 Honda CB 750! It's the same fucked up mentality, that makes grown men wear those fucking beards, long hair, do rags , fingerless gloves and vest with 30 Harley logos. I say grow to fuck up . Cut your hair, shave, dress like a man, if gloves are needed, wear ones, that protect the whole hand, throw that piss pot helmet over the fence, and put on a good full coverage helmet, that in case of an accident will protect your face and jaw, as well as the top of your head! Quit trying to impress some bimbo, and get a good bike!

@@MrJimmy1437 if you don't like them, fine, don't buy one. We obviously on a channel such as this do like vintage Harley Davidson. So stop with all the bashing, you aren't going to change our minds. You just don't understand.

@@MrJimmy1437 my street glide isn't loud,it's stock, it does what I need from it which is a 60mile round trip daily to work and back. My Ultra Classic also is stock, I don't need loud pipes to save my life,I depend on awareness and my skill. Also, I don't need loud pipes for 500-700 miles a day on a trip to give me a headache. Both have been trouble free since I have bought them, and are comfortable. If I wanted s speedier touring bike I would have bought a Kawasaki Concours, but my HD can hold 80mph for tank after tank of gas on a long trip. It also has decent weather protection from those pop up storms. To each their own,I won't knock anyone's choice of bikes.

It was an old Tampa PD bike and I rebuilt it to factory origins as best and I could and still have it. It is a great bike that runs great I can't say the same for these two twin cams I have. what is it about these bikes that move us so intensely and completely. My earliest memory - no my earliest memory laced with harley obsession - was maybe 1974 or thereabouts out on Long Island visiting my grandparents for the summer and i was with my grandfather in his big white 69 Lincoln in downtown Huntington parked and he was talking to this cat who was sitting on what i guess to be a rigid panhead fully dressed. not crazy dressed but windshield buddyseat, stainless trim etc. But i remember how smart the rear fender looked not hidden or encumbered by swingarm parts. just that gorgeous hump which for some reason was one of my fav parts of a full dressed scooter. i was prob about 6-7 years old and that bike cinched it for me. And really its only Harley Davidsons that i flip over. I can appreciate Indians and all the other manufacturers but for me Harley Davidson is the end all. This 69 is surely bad to the bone and like you i get off on original paint unmolested complete bikes - live for them in fact. Your a coolcat Todd.

I agree...Wow what a machine!! I love the scheme of black and chrome and that bike has the best sounding idle . Beautiful bike man . I hope to run across something like that one day. I got a 73 FLH but would like to have an older generator shovel. Love those early ones. Your a lucky cat to be able to buy all of the bikes you get. I'd do that for the rest of my life if I was able. Buying and selling and getting or keeping the couple I like best. Only a few I don't need a bunch of them. One of each model would be sweet but I know how it is collecting and being bit by the bug it's an addiction that's hard to control. Fun though and exciting. The hunt is the best part for me I must say. Finding a real nice example or an oddball is a thrill. Anyway thanks for all your posts and sharing your bikes I enjoy looking at them all. ✌️

Sounded like a drive-by shooting there at the end. Glad you're alright! Many years ago I ran across a 1951 Hydro-Glide. An older man had it and I think he bought it new. Was asking 1600 bucks, if memory serves me. Didn't have the dough. Probably would have killed me anyway...

Watching all these videos is a very enjoyable way to learn about Harley Big Twins, and I do have a lot to learn. I notice the electric start models don't have the oil filter in the location where the kicker-only models have. I expect that is because of the bigger battery (I have never seen a Shovelhead or Panhead up close ). Did they move the oil filter or get rid of it when the electric start was introduced? Was the Oil Filter an Option only? Thats my burning question for this week.
