Great hunt....an undesirable income yet, the reality displayed and incurred by even our best effort must be grasped. Striving to achieve the best outcome, as you have just witnessed, must be the goal; the quarry, we pursue, deserves nothing short of our best. Thank you for sharing....

My new Sanlida Royal X8 longbow just arrived a few days ago. I haven’t had the opportunity to shoot it yet. I've never shot a trad bow before, so I've been watching a ton of your videos. Thank you for all the info

I'm 6'-3" with right about a 31" draw length. I haven't shot a bow in years due to a Rheumatoid Arthritis diagnosis. But, I've been feeling decent enough lately with treatment that I messed with a few friends' bows. I think I could manage a 35# bow. BUT, on the chance that I can't I DON'T want to spend much money. The Sanlida Royal X8 68" longbow has been on my radar as one that MAYBE won't stack to a "wall" before it gets back to my draw length (the way 90% of the cheap 60" recurves do). So, I'll be looking forward to any video you put out on it.
@instinctiveaddictionarcher89986 ай бұрын
Absolutely! Great shooters but they tend to come in a little heavy on weight so order it a little less or at least my 45# one did but the lighter ones probably won’t but they’re sweet!
@yahusrevus6 ай бұрын
Thanks, Jeff. 35# is the minimum legal weight to bow hunt with in my home state. I may never be able to do that with it, but I'd have an easier chance of passing the bow on to someone else for a few bucks here if it doesn't work out for me. The main thing is still hoping the draw length works out. 😃

Good video, thanks for putting it up. One question please, the bow is 45 pounds, what is the configuration of the arrow you use on that hunt? Thank you.

He tells us about halfway through. Just after 11:00 minutes. I would be insulted that you didn't watch the video, or weren't. listening. Jeff was whispering and does have a bit of an accent. So if american English isn't your first language, that would be your only excuse.

Better luck next time . We all miss time to time. Whats the make and model of your bow quiver? I hunt with a Chuck Adams hip quiver. I strap it on to the tree. Not sure if ill like all that weight on a bow quiver with heavy trad arrows?

Jeff did you change the handle of the ILF top Archery recurve. I feel the handle is not comfortable. Just wondering if you switched it or you did something to it

Love the videos brother. You sent me to ttt string a little over a week ago. I have a question. I pull 52 pounds at my draw length of 29. I've been trying to tune arrows to my bow for a while. I have full length 400 spine with 250 on the front and they are still coming out a little stiff. I was wondering if I could go to 500 at that draw weight with point weight or should I just up my point weight to 275 or 300. I just don't want to tank my arrows down too much. I'm sorry for the long text here but I appreciate you, and your videos. I felt like you would be the one to ask.
@instinctiveaddictionarcher89986 ай бұрын
I’d definitely try adding some point weight first and I believe that’ll do the trick!

I wish I wasn’t tagged out!! I need to find me a place to hunt hogs here in Arkansas so I can hunt all year!!! If you could only pick one to hunt with the rest of your life, would you pick a longbow or recurve?
@instinctiveaddictionarcher89986 ай бұрын
Recurve for me as much as I enjoy shooting longbows, I like the feel and the performance of the recurve personally they’re both awesome but if I had to pick that would be it.

Just got this bow at 50lbs at 27.5inch draw. Sir what arrow setup would you advise I run for hunting deer? Thank you and god bless!
@instinctiveaddictionarcher89986 ай бұрын
Most likely your in the 400 spine range with 100 grain inserts especially if they’re cut around 29” but you might get by with 500’s and the best thing to do is order a bare shaft test kit from 3rivers to see for sure what works best with it👍🏻
@jaybaker87686 ай бұрын
Hi Jeff, Thanks for the great videos. I just got a Sanlida Royal X8 Recurve and a TTT string. The TTT string is really loud compared to the stock string. I am no expert. What would you recommend to adjust first? I have the top knockset adjusted to 5/8" right now. Brace height @ 7 1/4" Thank you for the help!!! Jay
@instinctiveaddictionarcher89986 ай бұрын
Run around a 7.5” brace height for sure and I backed my limb grooves with Velcro it works great on all recurve limbs too take the slapping sound out where the string makes contact and the factory strings have much larger bundles so that’s why they’re quieter and some guys wrap yarn around the string six inches or so from the loops down and it serves the same purpose but it really works!

I have the Royal X8 Longbow 68" already and love it. Would like to get the Royal X8 One-Piece Traditional Recurve 60", but am concerned about the 60" length. I am 6'3" tall and have a 29" draw...would this stake to much for me or would this still be okay? Also, would I have any finger pinch...I shoot split finger.
@instinctiveaddictionarcher89986 ай бұрын
Yes sir I think it would be fine as long as it’s not too heavy poundage, they’ll gain about three pounds per inch past 28” but still pretty smooth so I think you’d be fine with one.

Thanks for all you do and for replying to my questions. I am going to go and order one at 40 pounds...that is what all my other bows are. Thanks Again!@@instinctiveaddictionarcher8998
