I'm a biologist and not a hunter but many of my friends are. Someone has to do this as it is vital for balanced nature conservation. Also, hunters donate tons of meat to local food banks annually. Thank you!!

Some amazing shooting from a moving vehicle. I recently watched a video on KZfaq of wild boar hunting in a central European country. If memory serves me I think it was Romania. They used dogs as well and fired indiscriminately all over the place. How they didn't shoot each other, or the dogs I do not know. In many cases the boar were wounded but escaped, which I found to be unacceptable. It's good to see hunting properly carried out. What a difference!

thanks for the response, yeh got good mates. my biggest problem there is almost nothing Im not interested in. I was introduced to the world of high end air rifles. Makes shooting rats, mice and pidgeons far easier. A company makes a 800 dollar 50 cal air rifle capable of taking a deer. Soon as I find it again I will send you the link for interest. He shots a deer with an arrow, the damn arrow goes through the deer. The air tank on the rifle takes 50 lbs pressure, that is some torque. Another hunter shoots a bear with a blow gun. Man and his imagination!!!! be safe!

Gday. You may have answered this before but what do u do with the carcasses? Leave them where they drop or harvest em for meat (any issues with disease/parasites?). Also how r feral populations of pigs managed as far as pest control? Would farmers accept free assistance with it or is it more diy/experienced pros that handle it? Cheers

Hi mate the Bolt action rifle is a Ruger M77 MKII 30/06 and the lever action is a Winchester model 94 30/30/ Shotty is a lever action A110 Adler, Turkish made 12ga. We leave the pigs as they carry diseases in this area. Within a week other pigs, foxes, cats etc clean em up. However, there is a big overseas market for wild Aussie pigs mainly for Europe Germany.

acklan3 The Remington semi autos are farirly inexpensive. If you live in Australia the pump action 7600 is available in 3006 pretty quick

I reckon that they would be way faster but I only hold an A B license.

@@conradrawhouser2257 I live in the US. You are correct about inexpensive semi-autos. My personal favorite is the Remington 742, in 30-06 with a 4x12 scope. Hand load 168gr bthp.

+Hunting with Stu I understand. Question; Is that your ranch, are you a pro hunter, or is this recreational? Happy hunting

the Remington Pump in 308 or 3006 would be allot faster. And those are cat b. Although your Ruger m77 is very classy. they are expensive though, I have a tikka T3x in 243win. is 243win enough for pigs? cheers
