John Driessan taught me lessons in the boat which I use regularly in daily life. He's also top bloke. Many thanks John from Freddie.

Great film Michael, you really highlighted what a great training venue the Huon river is. I just wanted to point out that Brett Crow was originally from New Zealand but now lives in Tasmania and is the Tasmanian Institute of Sport Head Rowing Coach, he is not a New Zealand coach coaching an Australian crew.

Good vid, as a novice rower I find it funny to see so many similarities between Olympic level training and novice training. For example, the coaches are saying the same things as my own coaches, the two boats have a 'near miss' and even the wild life gets involved, which I guess are things that happen to rowers at all levels. The difference of course, is that the boats in this video are moving somewhat faster (re: way way faster)

Just an awesome location and brilliant video. Brought back fond memories of racing there and the Tassie rowing scene. How good has John D been for rowing. Good to see the same principles we all try to coach so soundly executed - I'll be sitting a few of my juniors here in Perth in front of this video! Brilliant work Mike. The NZ credit seems fair - I always remind them over here that I'm Tasmanian!

This worked last year, but there may have been changes in KZfaq's software since then: check under the "Syndication" options.for both the play list and the individual video. It's on the bottom left when editing. Make sure its been enabled for TV / Handheld playback. I'm in Seattle, WA, USA where I row out of the Pocock Rowing Center. This video has been a huge help and inspiration to finding fluidity in my stroke . Come to Seattle and make a video here!

Michael, a setting placed on this this video that says "No, this video should not be available on mobile phones and TV" prevents it from even showing up on my Sony Blue Ray player. If you would change that setting I could see and hear yoru extraordinary work in all of its glory. Thanks

Yes thanks for clarifying that. When l was checking the sub-titles with John Driessen we discussed that and decided to say where he was from originally. He's a great coach.

yes i know that and also the brit 4 also had a bad lane but my comment still stands they are the best technicial lightweight 4 i have ever seen and their gold medal the previous year was a credit to them, and i believe is the correct way that all rowers should aspire to

epic vid, just wondering why stroke in the quad was doing hands away with his left hand with a square blade in some of the steady state? is that an exercise

I know. But when l go to 'edit' [to make this change] there is no such a box to tick. Are you in Melbourne or Australia? Are you familiar with how to change settings?
